Léon (1994)
It's really unique
The carachter of leon is really great. Although he's a killer he has his own principles, that human inside him is, somehow, still alive.
I liked his relationship with matelda so much. It was my first time seeing a love story in a foreign movie that doesn't revolve around sex. I appreciated leon so much when he refused. At the beginning and may be till now I can't accept the idea of this relation beacuse of the age gap between them, but really I can't deny its beauty!
And maybe it's like what matelda said "you see leon? Nothing can stop love"..
The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards (2015)
Flashes of life
Actually i felt a bit bored, that i discoverd i'd love to watch a film based on a novel or long senario more than short stories. But I liked the idea of giving just a brief, or capturing a situation, hard one, from someone's life that shows the suffering, struggles and hardness of the human beings lifes.
It's okay.
Brooklyn (2015)
What is that thing we call home?
I hated the carachter, I couldn't accept her behaviours. She was never sure about loving tony. It seemed like it's the best chance for her at that time then why not?
This appears when she met Jem, she get confused that she doesn't reply Tony's messages and starts to give Jem promises while she is already married!
Then she simply leave saying that she is married.
I couldn't accept such action. If someone is not sure about his decisions, feelings, or himself, he must never give a promise to someone else..
The other people also have feelings and this is called "messing up".
Mistress America (2015)
Confessions
It was strange but too many talks should be quoted.
I was trying to understand the nature of both of main characters: tracy and brook, and the relationship between them. I think I couldn't figure it out clearly. Tracy was a young girl that's on its way to know life, she is confused and doesn't know what to do. Brook was an adult woman who went through many different experiences in her life, and the paradox is that she still doesn't know what to do either.
The relationship between them fixes this somehow, brook feels good about herself in the presence of tracy who in turn considers her as a role model. This exactly what helped both of them.
I think that stroy was based on the idea of confessions. This life is based on confessions..
And being confused is the most reliable feeling you should feel after the movie!
Perfetti sconosciuti (2016)
We still two persons
It's all about the secret, that deep one, that tells the story about us. We keep hiding it cause we can't handle the truth, specifically the ugly one.
Having such secret is not really the saddest part. It's hinding it from the people you trust the most - or supposed to be the most trusted! - which means whoever you commit to in a whatever relationship, you still two persons, you never melt together, you'll ever have that un-crossed border..
Before We Go (2014)
"I'm not enough"
It's the idea we keep thinking about, the loud voice inside our heads that ruins our self-image, "surely I'm not enough to be loved, I'm not that charming person, I'm not the most beautiful girl that my one would see, my talks are silly and my face is bad and my personality is boring", here we are too vulnerable, here we can't stand if the one we chose to give him everthing simply abandoned us, letting us believe that we don't deserve love, we are too small for this.
He said "I want to know that I'm enough, not for her but for me" and such struggle is all what we gain after the experience..
It touched me very.. his last words "don't tell her anything don't ruin it, just thank her that she let you know you could love more than one person in this life", and for me, this is the best cure in the world for this case. To know, from your deep heart, that you can love more than one person in this life, and may be the other one is the suitable one.
