Love in the Maldives (2023)
Beautiful scenery, and very good chemistry between main characters
The stories has been used before, but the scenery was absolute spectacular, and there was very very good chemistry between the two main characters. It was definitely believable, and I understand they are married in real life and you could see the spark between them.
I thought it was a good touch, showing people traveling alone and interracial couples cause that's part of life. I liked the older woman character whose husband had passed away, that was a nice addition to the story. Maybe Hallmark will do more movies about older( i.e. Over 40) people finding love and life.
It's Hallmark don't expect Bergman or Woody Allen dialogue or story but it's enjoyable and just a good piece of fluff.
Right in Front of Me (2021)
A very charming story
I have been a hard time watching Hallmark this last year because of all the craziness of the pandemic. The movies with lots of families, restaurants and parties did not seem normal during this time- but I really enjoyed this movie. Both lead characters were very charismatic and they had a lot of chemistry together. The rest of the movie was the usual Hallmark fluff, but the two actors and they're on screen rolls really made it all worthwhile.
Good Morning Christmas! (2020)
Couldn't get past the horrible hairdo on the male lead
Couldn't get past the horrible hairdo on the male lead.
The hairspray and highlights on a male leads hair was so ridiculous I just couldn't get past it and turned it off.
The Christmas Ring (2020)
Enjoyable fluff
Yes all Hallmark movies are predictable, but I like these two leads and the story was a little different than the usual.
I liked David Alpay and Nazarene Contractor- I don't get the complaints. I thought they had nice chemistry, were both sensitive, thoughtful adults.
Living in Los Angeles during Covid, with no snow, no Christmas pageants or tree lighting ceremony- is it all seems a little bit surreal, but I enjoyed this one.
