Named "Skinhead" in several countries...

...but has nothing whatsoever to do with skinheads or true skinhead culture. The fact that a bonehead nazi is listening to "A message to you, Rudy" (originally by black singer Dandy Livingstone, here in a version by british singer Judge Dread) proves that the makers of this film really had no idea what skinhead culture is really about.

ABOUT BRITT EKLANDS APPEARENCE
24 February 2002
Some of you who has written reviews of this eccelent film have heard rumour about that Britt Ekland might be dubbed in THE WICKER MAN, but I am Swedish and quite familiar with both her and her voice, and to me its veryu clear that it is Britt herself speaking - and singing! You just have to listen to her scottish/swedish accent, and if you feel like it, compare the voice with her 1979 disco single "do it to me once more (with feeling)" - where she (of course) is naked on the sleeve...

Beautiful view of Skanör
10 January 2002
Beautiful and faschinating film! At first you might think it is about the birds, but after a 2nd thoughtm it is really about the life around the birds. Funerals, weddings, everyday life, the people who are seen by the bird who looks out from the tower of Sankt Olofs chrurch in Skanör in the very southwest Sweden. And by the way, it is my mother cykling by in one picture!
