Liar Liar (1997)
"NO LIE, IT IS ONE OF THE GREATEST"
I absolutely adore this movie; it represents so much of the late 90's vibe and surprisingly still holds up even for today's standard. It aged so-damn-well.
It is STILL one of the very best in the dramatic comedy business.
This movie has heart in it. The characters grow on you by the minute, they have personalities, they have chemistry, and the events often cause impact on later scenes.
"Liar Liar" was great, still great, with an on-point duration and dozens of guaranteed laughs and giggles to satisfy the ones looking for some numb-minded fun.
Dispite it not exactly being for kids, it's still something very light to watch, and does no real harm.
Plus maybe it'll even make you rethink your acts, and teach you a thing or two about moral ethics.
Black Summer: Summer School (2019)
RYAN?... RYAN?!
How the hell did she know his name was Ryan, though? The guy's mute, and I don't recall him giving her his name, correct me if I'm wrong. The show gave his name to US, not HER.
Plus, who the HELL was that guy waiting for them, in the last few seconds? And why did they react to him like he was an acquaintance, or like they knew he was going to be there??
Overall, slightly above average episode. Either way, clearly a step back from previous episodes.
Marianne: C'est coutume! (2019)
A Rollercoaster of Events
This episode had little sense, and kept me confused/not very entertained, almost the whole time.
While it does a good job presenting the childhood friends, it was not enough to grant this a 6, or a 7, and call it good, or even slightly above average.
A clear step back from the last episode.
Élite: Polo (2020)
"The darkest Season, and possibly the most emotional"
I'm disappointed on how they handled Polo's death, but this episode, overall, does everything else well, and makes up for that particular part.
It gives satisfying closure to many arcs, and leaves some minor ones open, for a possible future season; although I must say this could be a very good finish line for the series.
The End of the F***ing World: Episode #2.7 (2019)
The Climax
It seems the arc between Alyssa, James and Bonnie reaches its definitive end in this (in a good way) extremely tense and uncomfortable episode;
Definitely one of the finest the series has ever delivered.
Lucifer: Manly Whatnots (2016)
A Drop of Blood
This was definitely the best episode of the season SO FAR. I've kept a sharp attention during every minute, till the credits.
The twist in the last minutes was good, and the fact that a bullet from Decker, could actually hurt Lucifer, shows that MAYBE the ones that can affect him emotionally, can also affect him phisically.
