This is by far the best of the four movies. I Netflixed all of them at once just to be sure, and now I am. The acting in the other movies was no better than this (City of Angels was definitely worse), and this has one definite advantage over the others in terms of story - I ACTUALLY KNEW WHO EVERYONE WAS BEFORE THEY DIED! In all of the other Crow movies, I knew the Big Bad and maybe one other bad guy's name about five minutes in, but everyone else was nameless until someone commented on their death. Furthermore, in Wicked Prayer the baddies have a semi-legit reason for killing Lily - Tara Reid needs the eyes of a shamaness to preform black magic. The best the other movies could do was "wrong place, wrong time". I also have to say that the writing in this movie was (mostly) exceptional. "I'm the fairy f***ing godfather that's gonna save your fairy f***ing tales" has to be one of my absolute favorite lines ever. I will admit that El Nino needed to be shot multiple times in the head from the moment he opened his mouth, but he's the exception. Finally, putting the Crow myth back in the original context of the shamanic culture of the Native Americans makes it seem much more legit.
In closing, I do have to say that this was the first Crow movie I saw, and that's probably why I can barely stand the others. The problem with this movie was that its primary audience was rabid fans of the original Crow, which was a very different movie. If you stop and look at it separately, it is a very good movie.
