Regular Show: The Power (2010)
Season 1, Episode 1

Reviewing Every Regular Show Episode (1/246)
26 April 2024
Season 1, Episode 1 - The Power __________________________________________

The Perfect Premiere...

Yeah, this is a great start to one of the best Cartoon Network series, and this premiere does a fantastic job at not only setting up the interesting, and varied characters of this series, but it also is able to set up the world of this series, in a crazy and wacky way. The show for the most part takes place in a park, and follows the two main characters Mordecai and Rigby, and follows them through their day to day lives. Although, what makes this show so captivating, is the crazy twists and turns that it takes, and just how it can go from a normal comedy series, to one of the most absurd things known imaginable. Which this episode does that, and more. I won't try to spoil the plot of this first episode, since I think the first episode is best watched blind, but for my future reviews of these episodes, I will include full on plot points, and other spoiler related stuff, so keep that in mind.

Other than that though, this is a great first episode, and it sets up the main themes of the show, perfectly!

My Score: 9.1/10.

Vinland Saga: Two Paths (2023)
Season 2, Episode 23
10/10
THE END OF THE FARMLAND STORYLINE!
13 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So... We have finally made it to the beautiful, yet bittersweet conclusion to the Farmland Arc and I must say... What an amazing, but emotional journey it has been. So many incredible and amazing moments that have happened to lead up to this fantastic conclusion. Oh... And the iconic Handshake scene... I must say. After hearing that they would reorder the scene... I was a bit worried it wouldn't still have the emotional weight I felt from it in the Manga, but thankfully I was wrong and man! What an amazing adaptation of the scene! I mean from the visuals.. To the voice.. To the soundtrack.. And to the emotions I felt from the scene... It literally couldn't have been more PERFECT. Mappa absolutely nailed that scene and went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect adaptation. Mappa and your staff and crew... You guys killed it!

Overall this is as good as it will get when it comes to a perfect conclusion and overall satisfaction. Like legitimately (Even though I definitely want a Season 3) I wouldn't even be mad If this is where the series ends. It's beautiful, inspiring, and would make to a very hopeful end If this is where Vinland Saga ended. Overall very satisfied and this was a damn good episode.

10/10.

Vinland Saga: Emperor of Rebellion (2023)
Season 2, Episode 22
10/10
I Have No Enemies!
6 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Another fantastic episode of Vinland Saga which included one of the most iconic lines of dialogue in not only Vinland Saga as a whole, but also in anime/manga in general. I can't tell you how long I have waited for this amazingly powerful and impactful moment to get adapted. This moment and pretty much the entire episode of Oath (S2, Ep 9) were easily my most anticipated moments of this entire arc and I must say... Mappa absolutely delivered on all fronts. Voice acting, animation, music, and sound design. They absolutely knocked it out of the park. Just like they have for this entire season. Literally every big episode they nailed and went above and beyond and I really couldn't have asked for a better adaptation of one of my favorite Manga series.

Now brushing aside the "I have no enemies" Scene. This episode was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. From the amazing opening scene of Thorfinn finishing off his 100 punch bet. To the incredibly powerful "I have no enemies" Speech. To the much anticipated reunion between Thorfinn and Canute which was 4 years in the making (literally). This episode just an absolute treat to watch and another flawless adaptation of an amazing moment/moments.

I don't have much else to say.. other than this... "I just met all of you today. We don't know anything about each other. We have no reason to hate each other. So why do we have to hit each other? It's stupid. It's just Canute and Ketil who are feuding with each other. The two leaders could settle this over a game of hnefatafl. There's no need to gather all these men and shed all this blood.. We just met today. You are not my enemies... I don't have any enemies."

  • Thorfinn Karlsefni

Score: 10/10.

Cowboy Bebop (1998–1999)
9/10
An alltime classic.
21 January 2021
So this will be the first anime I will be reviewing and only the 2nd I've watched other than AoT but, that is not yet done yet so I will have a review on that as soon as it concludes.

So first let's talk about the good. One thing I really love is the unique, fun, crazy, and complex characters we meet in the show. Some we only see for a single episode and others over the course of the show and basically all of them are well written. Especially the main crew of the Bebop which during the show will get to explore each and every of their stories while it's either in the past and present. Another thing I really enjoy is the world it's self. While at times it can feel crazy and weird I do like that it has that feel of a world that could be very real in the future. Also I must say the art/animation style is very beautiful and holds up. Even for something that came out in the late 90's. Oh and I can't go without mentioning that amazing soundtrack. Some of my favorite pieces music in a TV series. Lastly, I really like that most of the filler type episodes still keep you engaged and wanting more from this beautiful world of "Cowboy Bebop". For example one of my personal favorites "Toys In The Attic" and "Mushroom Sambra" really do add depth to this amazing anime.

Now for the bad which really there isn't much. So one thing I think people won't like is that it's more a slow moving anime than most animes out there. Another thing is it's an older show and some people might not be interested in something that was made so long ago which is totally fine but, I always say give it a try before judging it and if you end up not liking it then that is totally fine.

Well I really don't have much else to say other than that it is simply an amazing show and anime and that everyone should give it a try even if you don't enjoy anime at all. Overall the deserves a solid 9.4/10.

Hannibal (2013–2015)
10/10
A delicious Masterpiece!
21 January 2021
Ok so for this review I am not going to say too much because people seriously need to experience this show for themselves.

So first I must say I was kinda skeptical about Mads as Hannibal but, after the series I guess you can say he ate my words. Probably one of the most terrifying versions of Hannibal I have seen or just in general one of the scariest characters. Mads was made for this role since he was born. The visuals, music, acting, oh and I can't forget the food are all extremely well done. Basically everything about this show is perfect. Other than maybe a few problems with S3 It still didn't stop me from giving it a perfect 10 and I don't hand those out for free but, this show deserved it. Well I really don't have much else to say cause like I said It's better if you go in blind then going in knowing what you will get on your plate. Trust we you won't regret it. 10/10 Masterpiece!

WandaVision (2021)
7/10
It's ok so far. Not anything special.
21 January 2021
So after the 2 episode premiere of WandaVision I guess I can say it's ok so far nothing too special or too crazy. Just pretty bland imo.

So let's go through the good of the show which isn't much so far. So one thing I do like is the hidden easter eggs in the episode I won't say what any of them are but, they are cleverly hidden in the episodes. Also I do like the relationship between Wanda and Vision everytime they are on screen you really do care about these two loveable characters and which makes it even more devastating when Vision finally meats his fate in Infinity War.

Ok now for the bad. I really did not like the Sitcom aspect of this show and it's has nothing to do with me disliking Sitcoms. I just don't like that nothing really happens until near the end of episodes which makes it extremely boring. Also it doesn't help that it's not funny at all and more so cringey when they try to get laughs out of you. Another is the credits are so damn long and takes up time that could be spent with character development or I don't know pushing the story forward. Other than that the show really isn't going anywhere I know we are only 2 episodes in but, hay at least it could be a little more exciting or engaging than what we got but, I don't know. I think I am complaining too much. Overall it's a 7.2/10 for me so far.

Update: Ok these last 2 episodes were much better in terms of quality story, character development, and writing. Especially this new episode which connects all the events that happened in the previous 3. Right now after I rated the show a 7.2/10 I'm gonna have to bump it up to a solid 8.1/10.

Black Sails (2014–2017)
9/10
Death, Love + Pirates!
5 January 2021
Ok first off if you have never seen Black Sails I reccomend you go to Hulu and watch all 4 seasons. You can thank me later.

Alright so there are many reasons why this is possibly one of the greatest shows of all time. First of all the writing and main characters are some of the best I have ever seen and all of them being very complex and different. Imo Flynt which is one of the many great characters you will meet on the show is probably one the most well thought out and written characters in TV history and yes up there with characters like Walter White. Also the sound and sound editing is absolutely fantastic I mean there is literally a 15+ minute storm sequence in which they got the sounds of the waves crashing into the ship perfectly but, this isn't the reason why it's one of my favorite TV shows ever made. The main reason is cause it's just fun to watch. From the intense ship battles to the interesting but, engaging politics I mean this show has it all. For viewers who love that slow paced but, satisfying conclusion. To viewers who love that faced paced and in your face action. The show has an amazing balance to engage all audiences and is the biggest reason why I love this series so much and I wish it was longer.

Overall score: 9.6/10 Must Watch!

Better Call Saul: Something Unforgivable (2020)
Season 5, Episode 10
10/10
Not my favorite episode of the season but, still a very solid finale
21 April 2020
So BCS finished up last night and while it was probably not better than episodes like Bagman or Bad Choice Road. It was still a very solid season Finale and does a great job of seting up the final season and it makes kim's and Nacho's situations very interesting. Also I feel like the reason Gene (Saul Goodman) is hiding is because I he could be hiding from people like Lalo. So if Lalo is still alive by the time we get to wrap up the Gene story it will set up a very tense and scary final few episodes. Kinda like the last few episodes of Breaking Bad. Also people saying this is the next Ozymandias or better than every Breaking Bad episode are absolutely wrong. It's a great episode but, better than Ozymandias or all the Breaking Bad episodes. Other than that a solid end to the season.

Chernobyl (2019)
10/10
Probably the best HBO Miniseries of alltime up there with BoB's
18 April 2020
Chernobyl is based on the Nuclear power plant that blew up in Chernobyl and man is it scary and brutal. It's absolutely amazing what these people did to prevent the situation from getting any worse than it already is. Literally every single thing is perfect about this series and if you haven't watched this then what are you doing. You are not only missing out on one of the best miniseries of alltime but, also a huge piece in history. Defiantly a 10/10 if not higher.

Where it all started
17 April 2020
Samurai Jack's film is a great way leading into imo one of the best Cartoons of alltime. Up there will cartoons like Bojack, Futurama, The Simpson's, and many, many more. Not only is the story and writing great but, the characters are so loveable and fun. I gotta say for a movie it's pretty darn good. 9.4/10

The Walking Dead (2010–2022)
7/10
First 4 to 5 seasons were great but, the rest are at best mediocre
15 April 2020
The Walking Dead based on a popular comic book series started off very strong and continued that trend through 5 very solid seasons but, the other 5 have been kind of let downs imo. Character development has defiantley slipped. The story is just a drag and we rarely see mind blowing episodes anyone like "To Far Gone" or "No Sanctuary". Yes this is still a show a would reccomend watching but, maybe not past season 5 atleast.

Lost (2004–2010)
10/10
Before Breaking Bad. This and The Wire were where TV was at it's best.
15 April 2020
Lost really is one of the best TV shows to ever air on TV. With it's brilliant writing, character development, and story. This show will make not fall in love with these survivors but, also cry your eyes out when it's all over.

10/10 for me and will go down as one of the best shows of alltime.

Dexter (2006–2013)
8/10
Great show with a disappointing ending.
15 April 2020
Goddamnit I really want give this show a 10 but, I can't and it is mostly a few utterly awful seasons and especially the final season. This show suffered in the same way as Game Of Thrones which I ended up giving that series a 9/10. So if I had to split dexters 8 seasons in half I would say the first four are easily a 10/10 and the last four a 6/10.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

Shame it could of been a 10 if not for that lackluster of a final season
15 April 2020
I will say that this still a great TV show and one you should still watch but, man that last season was really bad.

Better Call Saul: Bad Choice Road (2020)
Season 5, Episode 9
10/10
The most tense last 15 minutes of a TV episode I have seen all year long.
14 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Man these last two episode have been so good. Literally that last scene with Lalo, Rhea, Saul, and Mike was one of the scariest and tense scene I have seen in quite a long time. Also Rhea Seehorn's acting in this scene should not only give her an emmy nomination but, just give her the whole damn award in general. She totally deserves it. Also Lalo in this scene was damn good too. His stare that he gives Saul, while making him repeat his story again and again until he is satisfied with the answer also deserves an emmy nomination too. Lastly, the whole build up to this scene was brilliantly done with Lalo finding Sauls car, Rhea finding Jimmy's cup with a bullet in it. All the way to Mike driving full speed while on the phone with Saul to leave the phone on the the table so he can listen to Lalo while he has a sniper pointed at his back.

Almost forgot but, I loved the opening scene too. With Saul walking through the desert and Kim worrying about him with the screen split in half with the same song from the episode "Something Stupid" playing the background.

So while I didn't like this as much as "Bagman". It is still super close which is why I still gave this episode a 10.

Season 5 finale is next Monday so I will have my popcorn ready and my mind ready to be blown away and the tissues just incase something devastating or unexpected happens.

Season 5, Episode 8
10/10
Vince Gilligan is a genius!
7 April 2020
So I finished Bagman and I must say I haven't felt this entertained and on the edge of my seat since of course Breaking Bad. Not only is this the best episode of the season and series from BCS but, possibly just the best episode of the year.
