The Vanishing Triangle (2023)
It did have potential
The story started well and characters were developed enough for you to care what will happen to them. There's plenty of bad decisions made, and plenty of red herrings but for regular viewers of crime drama you'll probably guess the baddy early on.
Unfortunately everything falls apart in the final episode. Leads continue to make bad decisions, and go on a chase without any backup. It all appears to be wrapped up abruptly as though they had planned on a second season but weee told at the last minute no. There's still plenty of loose ends which is a major flaw as the instigation of the whole series isn't explained.
Finally the sound quality was poor. The main male lead was excellent and was the only one who spoke or was taped speaking clearly. Unfortunately he won't be around for the second season I'd they make one.
Who Is Erin Carter? (2023)
Crazily good
Ludicrous story line, continual fights, car chases and bad decisions and every minute fun. If you want to escapism with a story you can guess each scene coming and it's end then this is the show for you. Only 7 episodes so it can easily be watched in a couple of days. All of the actors are pretty good with the material they are given, some accents are little off especially the Spanish ones but that doesn't distract too much. I loved how the baddies always got
too close to Erin with their guns with no care to losing the fight.
I hope there's a second season after witness protection and maybe Venice as a location, with boat chases, explosions perhaps a finale during an opera!
Blonde (2022)
3 stars for Ana and only Ana
I found this so hard to watch. Scene after scene of heartbreak for Marilyn and for Ana to look lost and abused. I felt sorry that Ana de Armas was even associated with this movie. If her agent advised to do this role, I recommend that she gets another agent. Ana is beautiful and is a wonderful actress and at times showed the vulnerability of Marilyn but that wasn't enough to save the movie. I'm at a loss in how this got made, and how did it get a standing ovation at a recent screening? Really Netflix need to do better with their choices, and please don't ever make another fictional appalling film based on anyone who died within the last 100 years.
Harjunpää (2022)
Bleak Finland
Very depressing series with depresses characters. Helsinki need a PR team to counter balance this show. Each two part crime is seedy with unlikeable characters and a team of police who generally stumble upon DNA or an eyewitness to solve the crime. So many other cop shows do it better.such as Thin Blue Line from Sweden.
Svörtu sandar (2021)
All been done before
Inept police and dysfunctional families get together, one's a killer. If you've watched any other noir series such as the brilliant Killing, Bridge, or nordic police dramas then you'll have guessed the killer in the first episode. Some great scenery of Iceland outside of Reykjarvik.
Gloria (2021)
One absurd situation to another
Gloria must be an orphan because she has no family to help her. What can I say about Stan, was he really any help? Arthur hopefully goes to jail. Finally Gloria needs to get away from some of the evil in-laws if there's every to be a season 2. I'm guessing the lead was pregnant when shooting some of the scenes because her wardrobe makes no sense or any relation to the other characters dress.
Forhøret (2019)
Disappointing second season
With some episodes around 25 mins it was still a hard watch. Characters took turns in dialogue whereas in the real life a couple of questions and an answer would have solved the problem. I can't recall the first season being as painful to watch. I can't recommend this show, there's so many better options.
Being the Ricardos (2021)
Oscar winner for Nicole
I really enjoyed this movie. I grew up watching Lucy on and has no idea of this major event in her life. All the actors in the movie were superb in their roles.
The Chair (2021)
Not funny
I wondered what was annoying me about this show and then I thought about Morning Show and what annoyed me about that, and then I worked it out Duplass Bros.
Life (2020)
One improbable scene after another
Alison, Peter, Adam and Victoria shine in their scenes, the other actors are just fillers.
Irresistible (2020)
Mackenzie & Topher wasted in this movie
Few laughs and some scenes are painful to watch. Have really enjoyed Mackenzie and Topher is other movies but they are wasted in this, I can only think that they are friends of Jon's to have agreed to be a part of this.
Ørnen: En krimi-odyssé (2004)
Started well but can see why it ended on season 3
Series 1 & 2 was pretty good and similar in style to the tv show the Unit (which as was much better). It seemed to lose the plot towards the end of series 3, I'm not sure if they knew in advance there wasn't going to be a season 4 but the stories were rushed and main characters started acting out of character.
Rejseholdet (2000)
I'm sad that this series ended
This is such a great show, by the end of season 1 you will be hooked. At the end of the series you'll want to know what happened to all the regulars. If only they had a fee movie length catch-ups once in awhile. If you enjoyed Borden, killing etc you will love seeing some of the actors at the start of their careers.
Friheden (2018)
Just love this show and can't wait for season 3
Wonderful series, great acting, storyline is fun and the actors also look like they're having a great time.
Bäckström (2020)
When will we get series 2
Wonderful show with a great lead and supporting police team. Hopefully there'll be another series soon.
Bedrag (2016)
Gripping tv
I really enjoyed this series. You want some of the baddies to get away and others to be caught by your favourite cops
Entangled (2019)
Did the actors make up the dialogue?
Thank God for streaming so that you can fast forward. I wouldn't recommend this and can't understand Gregory Fitoussi being involved, maybe filming in NY with expenses was the lure.
Taken (2017)
Lazy screenwriting
First episode was good but then things started to fall about with the dialogue and endless slip ups by the crack team. I began to feel sorry for Clive and Jennifer being associated with the show. It's a poor mans Blacklist.
The Team (2015)
Don't watch season 2
I don't think I can explain how terrible season 2 is. I understand that actors need work but honestly the police procedures are laughable. So many better shows to watch The Bureau, Bridge, Deadwind, bordertown, agent hamilton
The Valhalla Murders (2019)
Police need to return to the academy
The cops need to lose their jobs for the mistakes they make. So many holes in this plot to list. Many similar quirky cops with badly behaved children to watch before this one, try Bordertown, The Bridge, Deadwind.
This Is Where I Leave You (2014)
Jason Bateman is the only good thing
So many talented actors in a cliche ridden movie, either they were paid a lot of money or they're friends of the director.
6 Underground (2019)
Go Go Go is often said
A perfect movie for Ryan. Lots of action around a very flimsy storyline.
Geostorm (2017)
Can't reverse the self destruct
I need to stay back to manually reboot the satellite
