Hostile Planet (2019)
Amazing Beautiful & Engaging Series
Absolutely love this series. The visuals are amazingly beautiful, and the story telling element really draws you in to the various animals lives. There were so many scenes that literally left me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Personally, I did not find anything political about the show. How is it political to state a fact about rising temperatures in a region impacting an animal's life? It's just the reality of our world right now, and it wouldn't make sense not to mention it when the whole premise of the show is the various obstacles that animals face in surviving.
Modern Love: So He Looked Like Dad. It Was Just Dinner, Right? (2019)
No Thanks
I have absolutely loved this series - and then I came to this episode. Ugh. It is just so bad in so many ways. The premise is creepy and confusing, the dialogue was often painful to listen to, and I found zero redeeming qualities in the protagonist. There didn't seem to be any point to this story, except that an immature, self-centered young woman believes that her relationship with the older man she works for should be entirely self-serving in a myriad of different ways. If you love this series and want to keep loving it, I highly recommend that you skip this episode.
An Hour Behind (2017)
Missed Potential
The story was cute, and Barry Watson was wonderful, but the main actress so flat and unlikable that it ruined the whole movie for me. It's hard to have chemistry with someone who shows zero emotions, so the romance was lost.
