Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You (2020)
Sorry but this isn't a documentary
Apologies but if your looking for a true heart felt look into the hard work and determination that goes into an Ariana Grande world tour, your in the wrong place. This is nothing more than a concert film with about 6-7 mediocre (and totally unrelated) behind the scenes footage. That have no relation to the tour itself or what it's about. Now if this was just suppose to be a concert film I'd give it 8/10. The visuals, singing and whole performance (from grande to the dancers) was amazing. I can't stand it though when films that try to call themselves a documentary aren't even close to it.
Overall, it's definitely worth a watch. Just know that it's not (in anyway) a documentary. It's just a concert movie.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Pleasantly surprised
I didn't really know what to expect from this film and I didn't really expect it to enjoy it as much as I did. I was expecting the great comedic aspect of this film (because I love Taika Waititi's work) but, what I was shocked by the most was, how this film also pulls on the heartstrings. It's basically all you could ask a film to be. Great story, hilarious humor, excellent acting and most importantly, it has heart. Definitely one of my picks for Best Picture at this oscars this year. Don't count it out !
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Great ending to a thrilling franchise
Depending on what kind of Star Wars fan you are , will probably depend on how much you enjoy the Rise of Skywalker. As a "fan" the franchise, I thought this was a seemingly perfect way to tie up the franchise. The storyline was good, film was well shot & the cinematography was excellent and the acting was good as well. Yes, some people may become befuddled at the different characters throughout the film. Which is why I suggest that before seeing this film, go watch the whole franchise so you'll be able to appreciate what the penultimate film actually means. In conclusion, this film is definitely worth a watch.
Riverdale (2017)
A joke at this point
Riverdale has become a TV show that has fallen victim to the plague of being more popular than CW,Warner Bros and CBS suspected. They thought "let's make a great first season because there is no way this is going to pick up for a second". The plots make no sense now and the writing is poor. I believe there is no saving riverdale now. Just save yourselves 😂
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Better than the first one
To be honest I hated Spider-Man : Homecoming, but far from home (for me) was a step up. I much more enjoyed the story, villain and effects. It's well worth a watch for anyone (including marvel fanatics such as myself).
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
Not great but still enjoyed it
I think you have to go into this film expecting not to be wowed. In fairness it wasn't too bad. I don't think the people saying "it's terrible" are being fair. It gave me good laughs and it's was a fairly well made film. As I said it wasn't great but I still enjoyed it.
Dumbo (2019)
All around bad film
Now I'm usually a Disney fan and as much as I wanted to love this film, it was just really poor. The acting was terrible and the script is really poor with lots of plots hols. Overall I'd give it a 3/10. (Only because dumbo is cute)
