37 Seconds (2019)

A remarkable film

This film is simple but well made. The characters were portrayed with such intricacy. It is almost 3:00 am and I do not regret watching this film instead of studying. The acting and the cast is top notch. I found myself crying more than I anticipated.

This is probably the best movie of its kind. I was skeptical if i would like this movie, but i was wrong(this is the highest rating i have ever given yet). The film was well written and shot, ALL the actors did an excellent job potraying their respective characters. The movie neither felt dragged nor rushed, it went on the perfect pace and the transition between scenes were smooth too. This movie was emotional but was well balanced with the right amount of humour. I guessed about her past before it was revealed in the movie. This indicates the resemblance of the movie to similar incidents starting from the very get up of the old lady.

Prison Playbook (2017–2018)

Refreshing and well made.

I was taken aback when i read the description and started watching this drama because the plot and script was so refreshing. It is actually kind of a comedy drama in itself. This drama touches the themes of friendship,love,guilt,suffering,perseverance,motivation and bad habits which destroy a person. This drama was able to achieve displaying the many perspectives of the people in jail. It mildly reminded me of the shawshank redemption.

Fight for My Way (2017)

This drama started of on a fun and comedic note and really lifted my mood. But it started to drag and get boring around the 4th or 5th last episode.

This drama brings back memories as it was the first drama i ever watched. It was an average cutesy typical kdrama. The leads were cute and even though i am not fond of their acting atleast the plot was lighthearted and kinda fun which made up for the lacking acting. I am not saying that i absolutely hate them, but i am not particularly fond of their acting. This drama is good if you want to watch some light hearted romcom. I mean it was decent enough to keep me watching kdramas. ( I remember distinctly cringing at the scene where they fall in the pool).

School 2017 (2017)

Childish.

As the heading suggests it is childish and the acting is not great. The actors might have been capable of doing better acting but i cant say anything for sure since the script and plot was trash. It was not a very well planned out drama and was super rushed. I cringed a few timed but it wasn't thAt cringy overall.

The best "school" drama in the series so far.

I watched this drama long back, i think thid was the 2nd or 3rd kdrama i ever watched. However i remember really enjoying it and the plot twists were really nice. The actors including the side actors and supporting role carried out their parts very nicely. This drama touched on many important topics as well. However, the ending left me a little unsatisfied and felt rushed. The ending part about the love triangle could have been written a bit differently.

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017)

I am not a big fan of fantasy dramas and i was skeptical about this drama before watching it. But it turned out to be an amazing mix of modern day and a little bit of ancient korea based drama. I really enjoyed this drama. However, the HUGE age gap between the goblin(gong yu) and kim go eun who plays a student was really weird and made me uncomfortable. Imagine a man around his late 30s having feelings for a highschool student - weird right? They tried to tone it down in the drama by showing that much of the real "romance" or emotional attatchment happened after kim go eun turns into a legal adult but that doesn't change the fact that the age difference potrayed in the drama was unsettling. Furthermore, the whole scenario between the leads after the sword is taken out of the goblin becomes dragged. Like the whole him roaming around in a desert for years until she is reborn and then returning thing kept dragging and maybe could have been carried out differently bcs it felt like it was dragging a little.

Her Private Life (2019)

Bland plot, moderately cheesy romance. In my opinion a good portion of this drama was aimed at the foreign audience who are very much into kpop and fangirling in aims of making it relatable for them. Some aspects of fangirling shown in this drama was only relevant for obsessive fans. Some of the kissing scenes felt weird and a little excessive. This drama like many other korean dramas ( eg : what is wrong with secretary kim, touch your heart,etc) consist of the same cheesy romance-but oh wait there is a sad/traumatizing back story for one or both of the characters- much depth much wow kind of scenario.

The long awaited on screen reunion of the infamous (grim reaper- sunny) couple from goblin created a huge hype. Many people including me looked forward for this drama. However unlike majority of the people i disliked this drama. It was super sappy and corny ,to which i found myself cringing to the point my toes clenched. The lead actors are capable of acting much better than what was shown in the drama. The only thing good about this drama was the camera quality,filming locations and the apparel/makeup of all the cast members.

Save Me (2017–2019)

A DAMN GOOD THRILLER KDRAMA

This drama potrays the life of a young girl who is trapped in a horrifying cult. There are subtle feelings of love potrayed in the drama but no romance as such. Episodes upto ep no.3 may be a tad bit boring for some viewers who lack patience but i promise you stick through it and watch the whole drama you won't regret. I found myself yelling and taking stress bcs of the cult members in this drama. This just shows that the acting of thr characters is good enough to make your blood boil. Honestly one of the best dramas i have ever seen. The ending could have been a tad bit better in terms of filming and potraying the end result.

The Princess and the Matchmaker (2018)

Average light hearted rom com.

This movie was light hearted and fun to watch to pass time. It wasn't great and there were some faults. But if you want to watch a fun joseon dynasty to pass time you could watch this. This movie had some faults here and there but overall an average movie.

Midnight Runners (2017)

This movie was a HUGE disappointment and did NOT live up to its hype. Majority of the action and problem solving in this movie took place in one midnight - as the title suggests. Full of faults and highly predictable. It is an amazing movie for middle school girls who want to drool over some hot shirtless korean dudes exercising and flexing their muscles.

The Last Princess (2016)

Beautifully potrayed and shot.

The movie is about the last princess of south korea who is taken to japan against her will. This movie has been shot beautifully and the potrayal of the different characters in the movie was well done. The ending was emotional and i did cry 1-3 times while watching the movie. This movie is not very fast paced and takes its time to elaborate the emotions of some characters. It is a good movie overall.

The Witness (2018)

A little above average thriller.

This is not the best thriller/suspense movie i have ever seen but it is pretty decent. The man playing the witness did an excellent job potraying the anxiety filled feelings and emotions of a witness. The movie had a few flaws here and there but overall it is a good movie to watch although it goes on a relatively slower pace.
