Joe Hill (Stephen King's son), Blumhouse and Ethan Hawke? One hellava movie! Creepy and a couple of jump-scares I didn't see coming. Masks freak me out, and the ones Ethan wears are exceptionally done. Just a really attention-grabbing movie. I liked it a lot!

Top Gun: Maverick
(2022)
Something for everyone!

As a woman that is Tom's age, I obviously am a fan of the original Top Gun, having seen it opening weekend back in the day and periodically throughout the years. I have to say I am NOT a fan of sequels, when something is that good, leave it alone!!!
I was wrong (in this case). Absolutely stellar film and performances, mixing nostalgia with modern day. It has everything the original had and more. Loved every minute and the time flew too quickly. Kudos to everyone involved in bringing us back in time-in a most modern way. Tugged at the heartstrings of everyone in my group, female and male. I loved being transported back to The Danger Zone. :))

Absolutely brilliant

This is one series that totally depressed me when it was over-no tv show has ever captured my attention like this one. You get SO invested in the characters and their troubles and personal lives. It's a mixed bag of EVERYTHING a tv series should be. I'm glad I waited to watch so I could binge as many as I wanted, I can't imagine watching only one every week!

This is SO good, I don't want it to end! Lily Rabe is fabulous, loved her in AHS and pretty much everything else, Lol. I don't know what else to say except if you're on the fence about watching, Do It. Totally suspenseful and entertaining.
The Haunting of Bly Manor

Really enjoyed this!

Ok, let's just say it and get it over with: This isn't Hill House! If you don't expect that and just want an enjoyable, engaging story then this is it. It's DIFFERENT and that's good! I came to feel each character's pain and the last two episodes blew me away. I laughed and I cried, and really, isn't the point of a good story to invoke emotions? This is Perfectly Splendid. Wink wink...
Has it all!

As a dog lover, a racing lover and huge fan of Milo's, what can I say? This movie was near perfect and I'm glad I waited for a relaxed block of time to enjoy this gem. How can anyone with a beating heart not love this film? See it!

I definitely saw a lot of familiar scenes in this movie. Having spent 25+ years working in one office or another, I was the girl who came to make the coffee in the wee dark hours in the morning or was still standing by the copy machine at night in the dark while my boss said "jokingly" as he left at 5 pm "Hey, need a pillow?" I would insist any daughter of mine watch this film before embarking in certain employment circles. My impeccable career ended badly when a narcissistic psychopath targeted me and harassed me relentlessly and daily and did anyone try to help me even though they KNEW? No, of course not.

I really wanted to like this movie. Richard Gere and Laura Linney, c'mon, pure magic on- screen as "Primal Fear" showed. Anyway, the premise sounded promising. The first scenes were watchable, no doubt. But they lost me at "Main Course." I could not keep my eyes open and in all of my years of theater experience, this was the second time only to walk out. If you find yourself thinking of the things you could be doing and not wasting another minute watching the movie in front of you, it's time to bail.
I could have stayed, and maybe I missed the "big reveal," but if after an hour and I'm counting the seats in the theater, which was easy as I was the sole person in there, well, I sucked up the $18 spent and 28 mile drive and left to do something productive with my life.

I really liked it!

OK, this isn't Academy Award stuff. But it was engaging enough and I've seen movies rated higher that I scratched my head over (Babadook or some dumb name like that). This movie had some "wow--didn't foresee that one!" moments and just generally flowed nicely. Towards the end it shifts a bit into unrealistic zone--or does it? I'd prefer not to know. I do think the Government knows, for sure. I am college educated and don't fall for conspiracy theories and such; however, I am not arrogant enough to believe we are "it" in this vast Universe, and I guess time will tell. Anyway, watch a movie for entertainment--everything doesn't have to fit nicely into a perfect box and if you're busy looking for authenticity, find a good documentary. Otherwise, have some popcorn and just relax. :)
