This Is Ballet: Dancing Anne of Green Gables (2021)
Feels like based on a true story (in a sense.....yes)
Coming from a ballet/film background myself, I watched this film with perhaps a more critical eye than an average viewer. Not too many documentaries (especially about the ballet) can pull you in as well as this one does. You can truly feel the joy, the struggle, the stress and every other emotional fiber of your body that accompany each character in this unique interpretation of such a classic story.
I love how the camera seems to be there (obviously) but not to the point that would constrain the artists in their interaction behind the stage. I could really feel as if I myself was invited to take part in their journey.
Editing too, top notch.

A glimpse into a competitive cooking world
An interesting documentary about the less know world of competitive cooking. The sacrifices, the amount of time it takes to prepare, the emotional roller-coaster.
If you like cooking you'll enjoy it.
Hex (2017)
Not your usual epic period piece
It was quite refreshing to see a film that wants to show the other side of a war. Not as much of its physical conflict by a moral and an emotional between people. Their unstoppable desire to eliminate each other for no other reason than just because which I suspect was quite common those days.
Kudos to the director for bringing this to our attention.

Acid House Mayhem
I'm having flashbacks! I think it's fair to say that how much you enjoy this movie is going to depend on how many drugs you have taken in your life. It's best described as a roller-coaster acid trip set in the future. It begins coherently and rapidly becomes somewhat incomprehensible, yet somehow seems to hang together. The old-school soundtrack is fantastic and will take you right back to the 90s rave days.
Quite entertaining. Surround yourself with the like-minded friends to watch it. It helps :)
I was surprised to see how much you can achieve from such a (comparatively) small budget.

Near perfect film
I'm saying a near perfect because if I watch it the 100th time I'm sure I'll find something that is not perfect.
Other than that, a stunningly beautifully done film that will make you laugh and cry. You will have a hard time watching any other film after that. You will need a substantial pause to get into the rhythm of the 'cinema mediocre' (LOL) to help you to transition into the average films.
Stay till the very end of the credits and read everything they will show. Be prepared for a big surprise.

Take your time to watch this film
This film can't be watched in a rush. Take your time and make sure you don't have any other to-do things on your head.
Watching it is very soothing and gave me a sense of feeling the heaviness or lightness of each day the main character was going through.
Great visuals help in this experience.
I loved it.
Mile 22 (2018)
An interesting twist but.......
It's a fairly entertaining film. Nothing too sophisticated but enjoyable. Until the point when they decide to transport the "high value" individual in a street grade cars. With all the sophistication going on around them, they can't figure out how to fight off the possible bad guys?
The Silence (2019)
Why copying another film?
I watched it for about 20 minutes and decided to stop. I couldn't go any longer after seeing how the warnings were being issued to keep quiet yet, on the roads, the police and the ambulances were going with all their signals ON. C'mon!
Or when you are being attacked by whatever it is and you are in a car with a running engine and you decide to stay in place and see what happens.
What a waste of money. I'm surprised that they manged to convinced such actors to play in this film.
