Sound of Freedom (2023)
A MUST see for everyone everywhere
The very fact that this supremely well done and vitally important movie took seven years to get to the screen because of opposition should tell you all you need to know. Every facet of this movie is a masterpiece, from the script, to the actors, to the production... it will leave you in tears, it will make you think, it will NOT leave you untouched. Even though this is a dark and terrible reality, the way it has been presented makes it suitable for ages 12 and up (depending on maturity, a parent would probably want to watch their their younger children, perhaps discuss it before and after, but please don't ignore it. Praying this is just the beginning of a movement to make tremendous societal changes to protect our children from predators. God's children are NOT for sale.
The Chosen (2017)
A believable Jesus
Following the progress of this idea from dream to reality, I was excited to have access to the first four episodes. This series is unlike any Biblical portrayal of the life of Christ to date - the characters are fresh and real- check out Abigail!! And a Jesus who winks! And doesn't glow or act ethereal! These first four episodes bring the Gospels to life in a way that immerses us into a culture and recounting that feels authentic. Kudos to everyone involved- I can't wait for more.
