Beautiful!

We LOVE this show! Emily Dickinson translates well into the 21st Century with the nod to updated language and music. There are certainly reminders of the times and the pain Emily must have felt being held back in her traditional gender role, but the upbeat writing makes it a fun way to appreciate her struggle and amazing writing.

Wonderful, Tragic, Painful, Beautiful

This show has all the feels. Pain, laughter, suspense... it's an emotional roller coaster, but so well done that it's become one of the best series I have ever watched.

So much fun!

Don't go into this expecting the seriousness of a Poirot mystery. Instead, go in expecting silliness mixed with a legit murder mystery. The chemistry between Sandler and Anniston is great, and the supporting casts is full of surprises. The PG-13 rating makes it approachable for many ages.

Oh my, one of my favorites now
12 June 2019
This group of actresses seriously rules. The chemistry between all of them is magic. It made me feel as if I was on a girls trip with my group of friends, each of us with different things in our lives influencing our behaviors, but trying hard to celebrate our uniqueness and each other.

Plenty of laughs.

Fantastic!

If you're looking for a serious historical drama featuring stories from the life of Emily Dickinson, this is not your movie.

Instead, this is an ideal movie for those who love Emily and want to both laugh at some silly/comical interactions and learn about a side of Emily not as commonly known.

It plays a little like an episode of Drunk History, so go in with that expectation. If you accept it as that, you will walk away with a real appreciation for Molly Shannon's talent and a new appreciation for Emily Dickinson.

Historical drama based on real events
12 June 2019
I mean, come on, it's Judy Dench.

It's never fun to be lectured about historical events, so it's a treat when a movie is so well done that you both enjoy yourself and learn something about real people. Red Joan accomplished this, inserting a few suspenseful moments into an otherwise historical drama. Pleasantly surprised!

Lots of laughs and a few tears

Highly entertaining. Although the documentary is focused on the magic of traditional farming, using the environment to control pests and grow organic produce, the documentary is about so much more.

You watch people learn and grow, challenging themselves to think bigger, even when it is painful. It's beautiful.

Will Smith!
12 June 2019
Typically both musicals and Disney are not my thing, but because I'm a Will Smith fan, I had to check this one out. Surprisingly, I thought it was great. They successfully made an animated movie from the 90's with typical "fantasy" themes, and made it a modern classic with updated music, character details and an updated look at gender roles.

Brainless movie watching with a good soundtrack and CGI
12 June 2019
Let's say it's a Friday night and you are exhausted, and just want to sit back and watch things explode with some decent background music.

If this is your idea of a Friday night, then this is your movie! There are monsters, nuclear warheads that are launched, aliens, and plenty of drama. I mean, how many movies can have all of that packed into a couple of hours?

If you are looking for something more thoughtful or worthy of an Academy Award, this is not your movie.

Compelling story telling in a familiar genre
12 June 2019
The best of the "dead suddenly awakening" shows out there. It's easy to care about the characters and begin to generate theories on the backstory and "how is this happening" questions the series produces. With only six episodes a season, it's a fun watch without having to commit an excessive amount of time.

Excellent!

In an era where everything needs to be rated "MA", it's refreshing to find a movie without all the vulgarity that makes you feel all the feels. It's a thriller with twists and turns and plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments.

Great Netflix, Soap Opera, Thriller Series!
9 June 2019
Zellweger is amazing as a mysterious and cunning lead in this Netflix series. At times it get lime too many plot stories, but the series seemed to wrap them up all nicely but leave enough hanging to make you excited for Season 2. It at times felt very soap opera/CW drama, but it added to the overall experience of watching the series.

Twisted but Excellent!

The negative reviews surprise me. Although this movie has dark themes, the suspense, twists, and thoughtfulness of storytelling is excellent.

Overall, worth your time!
9 June 2019
There are points in the movie that drag a bit, but then there are moments that make up for the slow parts simply because they are hilarious, and make the movie fun. Loved the chemistry to the two leads and wish that there hadn't been so much of the movie dedicated to their adulthood feud. When they were together, the movie was great.

Series to watch when you've run out of good series
9 June 2019
Not great but okay. The first season is by far the best, but once you make it that far, might as well finish the series by completing the second season.

Some episodes better than others, but overall fun
9 June 2019
My family and I really enjoyed this series. It's hard at times to remember these are Mockumentaries, because the acting, writing and stylized editing make it seem like you are watching an actual documentary.

Fun!

Definitely good for some laughs. We enjoyed this very much and hope they make more. Don't attempt to watch if you are looking for something that generates deep thought or meaningful discussions. This is pure slapstick comedy in a game show format.

Script for sale!
27 March 2019
If these are the types of movies selling in Hollywood, I need to seize on the opportunity of selling the script I wrote in 5th grade.

Albeit, if you need to kill time and enjoy a background movie while you play games on your smartphone, this might be alright.

Uh-MAZE-ing
27 March 2019
After several days, my family and I are still singing "I've got five on it..." and talking about the depth of story in this film! We are fans of the horror genre, and Us definitely delivers. Think of it as a mix between The Sixth Sense, Get Out, and Bird Box. Not too gory, but plenty edge of your seat moments, a great twist, and a story that leaves you thinking about who you are and what you would do if you ran into yourself.
