Boogeymen (2013)
Cryptid Fun
Although mostly enjoyable enough, as other reviewers have already noted the fixation with lake monsters - especially towards the end of the series - means that it comes off as pretty repetitive, and makes it feel like there's not much effort gone into uncovering the more interesting monsters said to lurk in the far corners of the globe. It's good to have on in the background when you're doing something else, as everything here has been covered (and in better ways) on other shows (MonsterQuest for example provides much better insight and a far wider range of critters). I'm giving this six stars, as it's still a better watch than the majority of these kinds of shows.

Great Monster Stuff
I have no idea why there are so many haters reviewing this series (especially the ones who didn't even watch it all) I thought it was great. The monsters are very cool, well done CG critters, and while not all of them are original, the eye-guy and gremlin-alike listener monsters were awesome. The characters aren't all great, but the way that they're narrowed down to the ones which are genuinely interesting is really quite well done.
It's not a series for everyone, but if you can bring yourself to watch to the end of the first episode, you'll have a lot of fun.
Road Games (2015)
One for backpackers, I guess?
Let me start off by saying that I kind of enjoyed this movie. However . . .
It's a total mess. A mountain of things happen that you, as the viewer, are supposed to take in and remember later as events unfold.
Scary mansion, older folk and mannequins are all in abundance. What isn't, is any sense of a linear plot after the first 40 minutes.
Watch it if you're drunk, speak French, or enjoy worrying about the dialogue flipping between English and subtitled French.
The Paradise Virus (2003)
Haters and movie snobs gonna hate
True, this isn't the greatest film ever made, and it's dollars to donuts never going to win an Oscar, but it's not all that bad of a film. The love stories are somewhat unbelievable, but the plot is okay, reasonably well-paced and it passes the time on a rainy afternoon.
