American History X (1998)
An Understanding
This movie will open your eyes, no matter how shut you had them. The horrors and atrocities this movie will portrays will resonate with a person no matter what his views are. A huge emphasis in the movie is given to the influence an older brother has on his younger kin, Tony Kaye shows how even the seemingly most horrid acts such as murder can be seen in a good light by a person who looks up to the person committing them. Overall the movie is relatively disturbing in the beginning, but by the end of the first hour and then towards the end the movie starts to resemble a coming of age movie. The main character represents maturity and conscience when he leaves prison and that contrasts well with his younger brother who if not stopped, is heading down the same path his brother was.
Singles (1992)
A typical life
Singles focuses on the lives of common people. People who go to work, come home watch TV, people who go out to a bar, people who have dreams. I love how Singles portrays the connections between these people and this is really what makes this movie worth watching. It is not action packed nor a deep movie with a lot of hidden meanings, but it's a movie you can relate to and relax. It is worth a watch, but I wouldn't watch it again simply, because there's really nothing much to it except a cal vibe and the lives of people.
Kids (1995)
Disturbing
The most disturbing movie you'd ever have the chance to view, however definitely a must-see at the same time.
Into the Wild (2007)
Misunderstanding
Fascinating and very inspiring movie, I don't understand all the hate around this movie, yes the character died but only, because he took it too far, the main concept and idea of the movie deserves some respect.
