Chinese Godfather/Casino
13 September 2001
One of the best Hong Kong gangster movies, it's also based on a true story. It's the story of a dirt-poor guy name Hao. Him and his gang of friends begin their rise in Hong Kong organized crime by killing a rival gang for Fatty Biao's gang. From this lowly start he very quickly rises to become one of the top 4 drug/gang lord. With very believable acting, an all-star cast, and an unexpected ending that will leave you speechless. A must see if you like Hong Kong films or movies like The Godfather series or Casino even.

Not as good as the other 3 Jet Li OUATICs.

In the third film, Jet Li goes to Beijing to visit his father. Doesn't have as much good fighting as the other 3 OUATICs that Li is in, but Xiong Xin Xin plays a great Clubfoot Seven. Worth seeing only if you really like the OUATIC series (like me). 3/5 stars, I'd have to say the best part and most hilarious is Aunt Yee teaching Huang Fei Hong english, which is of course only funny if you understand and watch the cantonese/mandarin version, not the dubbed.

Not as good as 1 but better than the others.

In Once Upon a Time in China 2 (OUATIC), Huang Fei Hong must fight against the White Lotus Sect, and a Manchu commander whose mission is to capture Dr. Sun Yat San. I'd have to say that this movie is better than the rest of the Once Upon a Time in Chinas, but not as good as the first one. Xiong Xin Xin is Kung (who also plays the part of Clubfoot seven in the rest of the OUATICs) the invincible leader of the White Lotus Sect puts up a good fight, but not as good as Donnie Yen's commander Na Lan Yuan Shu. Recommended that you see this over the other OUATICs.
