Secretary (2002)

My new favorite James Spader movie!

I saw this movie twice & want to see it again... & again... & again. *LOL* I really enjoyed it. At first I thought that it might be too risque for my taste, but I was pleasently surprised. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of risque, but it was played out so well that it just blended. I was amazed when I realized that this movie wasn't ALL about Sub/Dom, but in fact it was a love story. I wasn't disappointed. I recommend seeing this film if you haven't already, & even if you have. =)

I am a very big fan of James Spader & he was so amazing in this film. He was beautiful, funny, complex, & sexy. I'll be his secretary any day.

I was also surprised by the fact that I liked Maggie Gyllenhaal. She is a very good actress & alot more attractive than in any of the pictures I have ever seen of her. Everyones acting is Superb, the directing superb, & the story *****!!!!!! My raves don't even do this movie justice. Just go see it!

Crash (1996)

This one leaves me ALMOST speechless

My my my, where to begin... Lets just say the only reason I would ever watch this movie is because I am a fan of James Spaders' work. Of course I wasn't at all disappointed with James' performance. His was one very difficult role & he pulled it off flawlessly. I really don't know how he did it. To me the story is very unrealistic. I mean I hope & pray that there aren't people out there that get off on car crashes. God help us all if they do. As bad as I feel about this film I also must give it some praise. It's original, it's entertaining, & it's shocking. I think my jaw just kept dropping further & further as I watched this movie. All in all I am not sorry that I watched "Crash".

Storyville (1992)

I Love James Spader...

People don't know what they are missing if they pass by this film. I never even really heard of the movie "Storyville", but I am a big James Spader fan & so thats how I learned of it. Ever since I first saw the handsome talented actor in "Jacks Back" I have been hooked & it became my mission in life to watch & own every James Spader movie. Well I finally made it to "Storyville", I LOVED IT. I must say it is my new favorite. James plays a very sexy, captivating, campaigning, Southern lawyer who finds himself stuck a mess. He handles it well. I thought this movie had a outstanding plot. The fact that James is in it is what made me watch it, the movie being wonderful was a added bonus. My cousin & I both love James. His unique choice in movie roles is very interesting & he always pulls off every one with ease. He's talented & amazing.

Two Girls and a Guy (1997)

I don't know if I love it or hate it...

I enjoyed this movie so much because for 1 Robert Downey Jr. is in 97% of it & it's different from any other film I've seen. It is weird, thats a given, but I found it to be entertaining. One of the best sex scenes take place in this movie, very erotic. Seriously though I voted this movie a 10, only thing about it that I found even slightly disappointing was the ending. It was vague, lacking & kind of confusing. You can basically guess what happened, & guess whats going to happen, but you get nothing to back up your assumptions. Still, it lets your imagination do the work which is sometimes funner. Very artistic film. If you enjoyed the movies "Dreamlover", "Freeway", "Sex Lies & Videotape", "Slow Burn", "Showgirls", & "Crash" I think you might enjoy this one.

P.S. If you think hearing the word f*** used at least 100 times in a hour & 1/2 might drive you insane, maybe you better skip this one.

Glitter (2001)

The best movie of all time!!!!!!!!!

This movie was so superb. I gave it a perfect 10! If I could have given it a 20 I would have! Mariah is as good at acting as she is at singing! I cried when she cried, I laughed & smiled when she did. I was blown away by this movie. No offense to Julia Roberts because I really like her, but she better move over & make room for Mariah!

I hope we all see more of Mariah on the big screen in the future. I can't even say enough about how much I loved this movie! I would go again & again & again to see it. I can't wait for video. Mariah is so beautiful. Every angle the camera got Mariah at turned out perfect. She truly radiated a glittery glow. I think Mariah is the camera's best friend. She is truly the most photogenic person I've ever seen. Forgive me you guys, I am just Mariah's biggest fan. I think she is as close to perfect as anyone could be. I think Miss Mariah Carey is one of the most underrated artists out there & she deserves some recognition.

I would also like to say that the other actors in this film were great as well. Max Beesley for instance. Great acting & great looking, this guy really had my eye. Where has he been all of our lives? Also Da Brat & Tia Texada did a wonderful job as well. Did I mention I can't wait for the video? Ok, all silliness aside. This movie was full of heart. It makes you happy, makes you sad, makes you laugh, makes you cry. It is full of inspiration & life lessons.Wakes you up a bit. Don't ask me how but they throw in a love story as well. I am amazed that they could give equally to each aspect of the film, but they did. Please see this film & get the soundtrack. You will truly be impressed by both. I love you Mariah!!!!!!

LOVE the movie, disappointed by the tv series

I'm not at all suprised that so many people hated this movie. I on the otherhand really enjoyed it. It isn't a masterpeice, but it's fun. I absolutely adore Kristy Swanson. She is a very beautiful & talented actress. Although I really like Sarah Michelle Geller Kristy makes a better Buffy, hands down. I loved the movie so much that I bought it. It usually gets me a little energetic so I do my workouts while it's on. The soundtrack is totally fitting for the movie. Every song was great. I gave this movie a 10. When your having a girls night, & you want a light comedy, not to serious, this is the right movie.

Bottom line: At least try it, you might like it!

American Beauty (1999)

I received this movie as a Christmas present.

I was very happy....

To be totally blunt, I loved it & I hated it. In my opinion the movie was NOT as realistic as I had expected it to be. On the other hand maybe I was just introduced to a reality I never knew existed. Some things in the movie I could actually see happening in REAL life, such as, sexual chemistry between a older man & a young teenage girl. The bottom line is, it is a movie, not real life. It was a beautiful film that I will watch again & again. It makes you want to live every day to the fullest because you never know when it will be over. The sad thing is most people including myself only carry that feeling for a short time. I will try to remember everyday that life is a precious gift from God that we all should appreciate & not take for granted. Once it is gone IT IS GONE & you can't get it back.....EVER.

Sunset Beach (1997–1999)

In my book this was & will always be the best soap opera of all time

I was a faithful everyday watcher of sunset beach since it began. I love that soap. It was an uplifter for me. After a long day at work it was what I looked forward to watching. My VCR timer was set every weekday & if I missed a day it was like the end of the world. I'm really sorry that it is no longer on TV. I don't know why it never got the rating's it deserved. People just never gave it a chance or it would still be on today. The characters were so entertaining. The actors & actresses acting was flawless! I truly believe Sunset Beach brought comedy into daytime television. Now it's really caught on. I still miss Sunset Beach & I suppose I always will. I just want to thank the cast who worked so hard to entertain us. I love them all! Sunset Beach will always be remembered & cherished by it's true fans! And good luck to Susan Ward who's stepping into the movies. I'll be there the day of release in the theaters.

The Evil Dead (1981)

I hate to disagree with Stephen King but.....

I hate to disagree with Stephen King but I really, really, really disliked this movie. My Sister, her boyfriend & I saw this movie only a week ago on our vacation & we were so disappointed. In fact half way through we ended up fast forwarding the rest of the movie till the end, & that was only because I insisted (I hate not finishing a movie). I really don't think we missed anything. They had to have shown the same background outside the cabin 10 times or more, the special effects were so fake & very over done. On the scale of 1-10 I give this movie a 0. I would never watch it again, & neither would my Sister or her boyfriend.
