Apocalypse (1998)
wonderfully bad
This movie is full of the dumbest people alive. Even if you are not a Christian or even believe in God if the events in this film were to actually take place, even the most skeptical would have to stop and say, "Wait a minute... this seems a lot like the book of Revelations in the Bible" and not fall for the evil plot.
I also like that God folds the clothes of the people who are called to Heaven in the rapture. I would have thought that there would have just been a pile of clothes, but thankfully God is kind enough to tidy after he takes people to Heaven.
However, it confirms everything I've always suspected about Europeans being evil! Evil I tell you! Evil!!!
Wild in the Streets (1968)
A highly prophetic, if very campy, film
It is easy to look at this film and laugh at the clothes and the dialog because of how dated they are, however, we have to remember how many of the things that the film talked about actually came to pass. The main premise of the film is the lowering of the voting age, which didn't happen until 1970 (sure it wasn't down to 14, but it was lowered). One of the main turning points in the film is when police open fire on a crowd of protesters which is eerily similar to the 1970 Kent State shootings. At one point Reagan even is mentioned as a possible presidential candidate! Sure it's improbable and over the top, but if you over past all that, it sure is a fun ride!
The Zombie Chronicles (2001)
Not as bad as people are saying
Really the only thing wrong with this film is the small budget.
It is in the vein of tales from the crypt or tales from the dark side and the two stories told in the film are fine stories in that tradition. They aren't anything great, but they are certainly entertaining.
The blood and guts are fairly good, the directing is serviceable and the stories are told clearly enough that any surprises are not confusing. If you enjoy anthology horror shows, this is worth your while.
I've seen other low budget films that are much worse than this. I would watch this over a lot of bigger budget movies any day of the week.
Zeisters (1986)
the music is the best part!
This movie is bad. It's not even entertaining. It's really just dull. The most amazing thing is that the soundtrack is by a guitarist named Leo Kottke who is a very talented musician and is well respected for his fingerstyle technique. How did he get to be involved with this lousy movie, I will never know.
Stuff Stephanie in the Incinerator (1989)
if you thought The Game had twists you haven't seen anything yet!
This movie will have you shaking your head in bewilderment more than once, but all is explained in the end. This is a tightly plotted story that is an excellent rental! The situations are switched around so many times you won't believe it. This is a very very cool movie!
