The Animal (2001)
Here goes another hit comedy!
12 August 2001
What more can I say? The movie really sounds good for it's plot, scripts, characters and, even for it's soundtrack which have fit to create a better chemistry in making a wacky and funniest picture of the year. Well, Rob Schneider could be the next Robin Williams, or probably will become another Hollywood's most sought after comedian for this generation. He is both professional and naive in portraying characters whose impact leaves lasting impression to wide audiences, and one which will render a comic act unforgettable and wildly cherish. Combine with the talent of soft speaking, amateur but promising Coleen Haskell of the Survivor fame ( well it was her film debut ), the movie astoundingly absorbs all the merits that a comedy picture could ever had. The movie has Rob Schneider cast as Marvin, a not-so-lucky-guy who was deprived of all wits and agility to pursue his ambition of becoming a law enforcer. Not until after encountering a freak accident that it precipitated a sudden twist in his career, and to his body functions as well. Alongside with his effort in unraveling the mystery of his strange behavior was a pretty veterinarian in the character of Rianna (Coleen Haskell). Because of his special ability that was credited from the different animal organs implanted in his body, Marvin now became the subject of envy by Sgt.Sisk (John C. Mcginley), a braggart police officer who contributed greatly to the funny conflict that always happen between a bad guy and a good guy. I have seen a myriad of hilarious films before, and I will categorically put this one into my top post among all of those while I still wait for another candidate to queue for the position. I'm commending this movie based on my personal judgment and I don't want to steal somebody's perception about which comedy picture should be occupying the top post.

Silencing Mary (1998 TV Movie)
slow paced thriller
15 March 2000
A very slow paced but aggressive investigation by a campus journalist played by Melissa Joan Hart leads to the apprehension of an identified rapist who happened to be one of the outstanding football player of their campus. For Mary, there's no such thing as backing out for what she have started as she was really motivated to pursue the justice that her friend "Molly" deserves even if its the reputation of the whole campus administration which is at stake. As for the very poor intensity mood of playing the role of Mary, so is the way the movie evolves into a lousy concept of a thriller film w/c doesn't even earned a climax. The only accelerating factor was that it was topped by a very energetic, strong appealing "Melissa Joan Hart" who for the very first place should not supposed accepted the role because she have her self credited with great sitcom's such as her adoring "Clarissa" and "Sabrina" and what would be a possible feedback was that this film would be a stumbling block to her flourishing career. For what I know...she's the only cream of this CRAP.

The Net (I) (1995)
Web thriller on it's edge!
26 January 2000
Pursued by an IT based terrorist to totally annihilate Angela Bennet(Sandra Bullock)in the world, she finds no one to relay her ordeal coz no one would going to believe such a story w/o anticipating the reality that connects user from the danger's of giving up personal information on the computerized system. A breath stopping chased ensued between Angela and her would be assassin played by(Jeremy Northam)and the chances of recovering her true identity from the Ruth Marx he shifted into her was dimmer w/o taking the risk of infiltrating the same software program w/c brought her to mess. Then in the end , she outsmarted the thugs raising the fact that no evil schemes could succeed good ones. Albeit I was little puzzled of how they over demonstrated the capability of computers, I can still brag that it was still a great movie compared to the flop, garbage cyber film,"Hackers".Thrilling portrayal of the web world is how I summed up this movie.

Clever and Smart Movie
12 January 2000
Astonishing! As I have seen the movie, it just opened my mind to the fact that only you and yourself alone can play the part on w/c you partake the temptation of life and just can't blame anyone including people around you ,nor your conscience and let me say, the devil himself w/c the people all over the world believes influenced them on every evil deeds that he sown in their minds, and other say it's instinct.A great role portrayed by Al Pacino(the devil)who reveals his true character at the near end of the movie thus explaining the reality that co-exist between man and God to his supposed tormented offspring which played by no other than Keanu Reeves. Clever!

Horrifying and Suspense
25 December 1999
A horrifying end of day's scenario as the city lays dim on a plague of cannibalistic walking creatures stalking almost in all places in the USA and has an instinct to kill and devour human flesh. It was not an easy job for the four main characters who caught on a spate of violent killings and infections of the virus created by the zombies w/c occupied almost the entirety of the city. No better place to go but to try their luck on a huge mall w/c they have chosen to transform into a safe house realizing that all their requirements will be met. Suspense from beginning to end, specially on that part wherein the 2 troopers have decided to block the main entrance by driving cargo trucks into the passage way. A good quote made by the main character to his companion as he goes on telling him ,"if your playing w/ your life don't play w/ mine", w/c in the end became a lesson to the latter..a lesson w/c he refused to take seriously and cause him his life. Though I've seen the movie almost 10 years ago, I could still picture the gore and violence that was created by the master of macabre himself, George Romero. He was both brilliant in dealing w/ the LIVING and the DEAD.

Impressive makeup effects of their time
6 December 1999
My first glimpse of a vampire film on a big screen fascinated me with the living, powerful makeup effects specially the glowing eyes and the hissing vampire sounds. The whole scenario was brilliant and the cast were remarkable talents.
