Lord of the Flies (1990)
Amazing.
Modern masterpiece much better that the original. Basically this film in my eyes was the questioning of the good of man, does society make or break us. As you watch you will see good Vs. instinct, fighting to survive, and mostly everything that was in the book, which I read. Picking all children to act in a movie is a risky move because of their inability to act, but I would say they pulled it off fairly well, after all the emotion was there.
American Beauty (1999)
Not THAT big of a deal.
I saw this the night it came out, and i left with mixed feelings, but a short while later it receives Best Picture? Although disturbing, this wasn't really a film I would like to be remebered as "one of the greatest films of all time". Plus you have to look what is was going against, green mile, Sixth sense? I have no idea why the sixth sense was even nominated. Overall I think this year was a weak year in film. Please feel free to E-mail me with questions or concerns in regard to any movie.
The Green Mile (1999)
Once again i have wasted my time.
After waiting for the green mile to come out, I saw this right away, having high hopes because the director was Frank Darabont. But it fell short just like a largely anticipated "The Matrix" (you can see my review) i think this was made mainly for the hope of getting an award(s).And talk about forced acting all except Tom Hanks he was an acception. Please feel free to E-mail with any questions or concerns in regard to any movie.
The Matrix (1999)
Pathetic
Am i the only one who did not like this movie? First of all the plot(which every one seems to get)i don't, cause really what was this movie about? Once again hollywood has put out so many special effects it overrides the movie, because that was most of the movie, special effects. And the only thing I got out of this garbage of a movie was that best line for Keanu Reeves was "Whoa". In conclusion, why not put your heart into a movie? Please feel free to E-mail me with any questions or concerns in regard to any movie.
The Butcher Boy (1997)
Fantastic and wonderfully strange, almost worthy of naked Lunch.
Although disturbing this is the best film i have seen in a while. Neil Jordan has out done himself, i liked this better than crying game, which had an interesting directing to it. Not sure if this would be considered a Black comedy.
Hey Good Lookin' (1982)
A Great movie
This full-length animated feature takes an amusing and often outrageous look at life during the '50s. Everything from street gangs to young love is given a satirical once-over. If you liked this you will love FRITZ THE CAT.
