Look Back in Anger (1985 TV Movie)
Brilliant Film, McDowell at his Best
28 February 2001
No one's ever heard of this film, and no one will ever visit this page, but this is a film that no longer can be made. The writer, the director, and the star represent a time that is past. John Osborne and Lindsay Anderson are dead, and McDowell, lacking directors of Anderson's and Stanley Kubrick's genius, has never made a film as good since.

The script, taken from Osborne's play, and McDowell's acting are a fountain of champagne.

The story may alienate some people, but the trick is to try to view Jimmy Porter more as a victim than as a victimizer.

Smack the Pony (1999–2017)
Simply Brilliant

For me, this is the funniest thing on television since Monty Python's Flying Circus. Every bit as smart and as funny. The second (?) episode (the one that begins with the "phobic" dog owner) from the second season is flawless. Every minute of it glitters. I only laugh as hard when I read or watch Oscar Wilde's _The Importance of Being Earnest_.

Great Stuff

Very moving documentary. One of the best I've ever seen. Vintage clips of the man throughout his public life. Anyone who is not moved by this-- especially during the last section, where Malcolm knows that his days are numbered--had better check back into the human race.
