Warlock III: The End of Innocence (1999)
a blasphemic act
the third part of the series is simply blasphemic. Trying to make a 90s teenieshlasher version out of the great warlock sujet.
Where Part 1 & 2 had atmosphere, fun and style (no big surprise looking, who directed them) Part 3 is only boring, plotless and stupid. Not to forget acted real badly. Only Payne as Warlock is acceptable.
Jonathan degli orsi (1994)
good sequel of Keoma - Violent Breed - but more an adventure movie than a western
That's Castelari's sequel to Keoma - Violent Breed. Although it's more a wildlife - adventure movie than a western it's quite good !
Hitokiri (1969)
One of the greatest chambara movies ever made !
Tenchu aka. Hitokiri- directed by Hideo Gosha - starring Shintaro Katsu and Tetsuya NAkadei belongs (together with Goyokin, HAra Kiri & Rebellion) to the best chambara movies existing.
Its the story about Shintaro Katsu (who plays Okada Izo) working for Nakadei, who wants to become the daymio. Okada, being the "cleaner" for Nakadei is being treated like a dog - and after quite a while he realises - what he realy is to Nakadei.
But there is so much more in this movie - every fan of japanese cinema should have seen it !!!!!!!
(Tenchu means Heavens Punishment)
Cube (1997)
you should have seen it!
Actually I think Natali did a very good job on that movie. He was able to bring something NEW to the screen and in my opinion that's hard to do nowadays. The story about the cube and the characters are real great - and if my English would be a bit better - I would write the same stuff here, I wrote for my review in the magazine, I'm working for :) But believe me - you should have seen it!
Kurutta ippêji (1926)
a sort of a silent TETSUO, only made more than 50years earlier
THis movie shows us once again, how genius the Japanese directors are and were. This movie could be seen as a sort of a "Silent - Movie Tetsuo". Well Eisenstein...:)
