Daredevil (2003)
okay not that good
I just got back from seeing Daredevil. I thought that it was a mediocre film. There were some good moments interspliced with a lot more not so good ones. Overall I would have to say the best part of the movie was Jennifer Garner's character Elektra, but then again I may be a little biased as I really like her show Alias. My rating 6.5 out of 10
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
good movie
I liked attack of the clones, even though, hayden can't act his way out of a paper bag and that George lucas needs to learn how to write dialouge that doesn't sound so corny. As most people probably know this movie was filmed entirely in digital format, and then was transferred onto regular film. I have had the opportunity to see the film once in each format. there is just no comparison, the digital film is astoundingly better quality than is the regular film. If you get a chance to see it in digital format I strongly urge you to do so, you won't regret it.
Overall rating: 7.5 out of 10
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
excellent movie.
Artificial Intelligence is one of those movies that is bound for
excellence. Haley Joel Osment is excellent and very believable as
David, the robot boy. In my opinion is would be such a terrible shame
if he were not nominated for some sort of Oscar this year. Jude Law also
did a decent job as Gigolo Joe. Other good performances were turned in
by William Hurt and Frances O'connor. Steven Spielberg has done it
again with another excellent
Antitrust (2001)
decent but not great
Antitrust is a halfway decent movie, but not that great. There are a lot of very predictible elements. but there is one interesting plot twist, near the end of the movie. Ryan Phillipe is good at playing the uber-nerd, Clair Forlani is good for another pretty face, and compliments Ryan pretty well as his girlfriend but that is about all this movie has going for it.
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
damm good movie
The Spy Who Loved Me is an excellent movie. From the opening stunt seen to Bonds' final seduction of agent XXX. Skiing directly off a huge cliff and then having his parachute open up into the form of a British flag, great. But the best aspect of this movie had to be Carly Simon singing "Nobody Does it Better."
Braveheart (1995)
One of the best movies ever made.
To put it quite simply Braveheart has to be one of the best movies ever made. I walked out of the theater just astounded at the scope of the movie. Then acting was excellent, the story was great, and the battle scenes were perfectly executed. There may have been some liberties taken with history, but the movie in totallity outweighs those items.
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Excellent addition to the series
I thought that the Phantom Menace was an excellent movie, except for one small detail. Jake Lloyd, aka, Anakin Skywalker, I found him to be very annoying. McGregor made an excellent Ben Kenobi. Portman was very good as the queen. And finally, as with 99% of all George Lucas films the special effects were astounding.
