We Israelis hated our local movie productions for many years. There weren't many movies made in such a small country and the ones who were made sucked badly. Most of the movies were either rock bottom humor comedies or unreliable dramas. "Knafayim Shvurot" is pretty unique. There's nothing "big" in this movie. The story is pretty basic but it's well written. The actors (some of them are in their teens or younger) are doing great job. This movie can touch you in the heart, I promise you that. No matter if you live in Paris, New York,Helsinki or any other place on planet earth. I don't know how many of you out there will get the chance to see it but I surely recommend it. The story is universal... In a few words it's about a family of 4 kids and a mom who lost its father. It's sad, funny , enjoyable and touching all at the same time. With some luck and good marketing this movie will be able to compete for the foreign film category in the academy awards. I'll cross my fingers for it.

Austin Powers in Goldmember

a very funny opening for a very wasted film

Okay, I must admit I had pretty low expectations for "Goldmember". The first movie was very funny, Some of the ideas were very original and few were actually brilliant. The second movie was pretty moderate, It had a few funny scenes but most of it was low-intelligence comedy with alot of childish humor. Okay now to the third one. unlike my expectations the first few minutes were hilarious and surprising , giving me some hope.unfortunatly the rest went even lower than the worst scenes of the second movie. A lot of physical humor which isn't very funny. Some scenes are even repulsive. Much of the humor is recycled from the former two movies and chewing the same thing for the fifteenth time is boring!. Michael Caine is a great actor and as usual he's doing is job well. Mike Myers is a talented actor and even more talented as a writer, but he should refresh his mind a little and try and write something actually NEW. He was always a fan of physical humor but he should try and make it more funny and less repulsive. To sum it up, you can watch it on video or wait for the cables, the first few minutes worth your time, the rest isn't.

Some movies are just awful. "Bandits" is one of the top of my "awful movies" list. Not many times in my life I went out of the movie theatre before the movie ended. "Bandits" tries to be too many things and because of that it fails in every field. It's not funny. It's hardly exciting and it's not even bit thrilling. The most astonishing thing about it is that the cast is full of talented players, the idea of the "sleep-over bandits" is quite funny but still the movie fails to be even an average movie. Find something more useful to do with your time (washing dishes is a fun activity compared to watching "bandits").
A good pick for people who can handle harsh scenes

Well I must admit it's a depressing movie. but it's a good one. Garcia, Walken and Williams give us a huge performance. You can easily expect it from the Andy and Christopher, But Treat Williams as Critical Bill is the real Bonus. This movie is a cruel movie with many dark sides but it also has some humor and touching scenes. I recommend it to people who can handle harsh scenes.

I watched Ladyhawke a few times and every time I enjoyed it more. It's not a brilliant movie... but it's fun to watch. The characters are adorable, the plot is attractive and the action scenes are great. It's a shame great fantasy films as Lady Hawke are so rare.
