Rita, Sue and Bob Too (1987)
Its Grim Up North
A very well observed comedy drama, set in a very bleak Yorkshire town. The film manages to come up with many laughs despite the depressingly empty nature of the characters and setting. A less bizarre place than The League of Gentlemens Royson Vaisey - but equally frightening. Look out for 80s party supergroup Black Lace at their most seedy.
Turn the Key Softly (1953)
90 minutes entertainment
Rather cliched plot, but some nice period detail, if your interested in old film of London, youll really enjoy this tearjerking melodrama. A very young Joan Collins is adorable as the easily led West End girl Stella. Plenty of other classic British Movie faces too.
Aces: Iron Eagle III (1992)
Utter Rubbish but I watched it all the way through
This movie was total nonsense, but still I kept watching. The action is quite good and plenty of explosions. Absolutely ludicrous plot. Theres a bit where the Spitfire pilot shoots down a jet with a grenade launcher while he hangs out of the cockpit. Nonsense but great stuff. Its got Horst Bucholtz in as well.
