How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)
Lame Lame Lame.
I'm not anti-romantic comedies. I'm not male. I like Matthew. I like Kate. This movie SUCKS. If her disgusting straw-like hair and needs-to-eat-a-cheeseburger-body and his cheesy shirtless office antics aren't enough to make you grimace, then don't worry, the obvious "change to a fuzzy lens at the sappy parts" moves will be. She looks like a mini clone of her mother and unfortunately can't act nearly as well, which isn't saying much. There are a ton of bad actors in this movie and it wasn't even dumb enough to make it funny, just in that bad purgatory movie zone where it isn't funny OR laughable. If I can't have MY 5 bucks back, hopefully at least I can spare you from losing yours.
Just in case you're wondering, I DO like other cheesy-type movies like Sweet Home Alabama, etc. but this is just, ugh.

Wait for the video at Blockbuster
We got a few good laughs out of this movie...overall it is relatively entertaining but certainly moronic at parts. If you're expecting a cinematic masterpiece or powerful political statement then stay home! Jesse Jackson has probably drummed up more business for this than they ever would have had otherwise...they do make some choice comments about OJ, Rodney King, Rosa Parks, and of course Mr. Jackson, but they were among the bigger laughs in the movie. We had free tickets so I didn't mind going but I'm not sure it's worth 6 bucks.
Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
Entertaining Movie
I really enjoyed this movie, and my boyfriend even admitted that he liked it ok. It's certainly not a thinker's movie, but Reese Witherspoon is very endearing in this film and overall it is a better than average date movie. I rated it 8/10 and would definitely recommend it to my girlfriends.
