Unpretentious, mostly light-hearted romantic comedy. Except for a couple of odd breaks in tone there aren't many surprises, but it's good entertainment, and the featured actors are all charming and attractive.

Stale, flat, and skippable

Sometimes you wonder how so many talented people, trying to create a movie they feel proud of, can hatch such a misbegotten turkey as this. Even leaving aside the incoherence of the butchered story, there's practically nothing salvageable in this production. The script is arch, rather than witty. The plot (what is left of it) is overblown and predictable. The performances are flat and mannered - except for Sean Connery's, which is *way* over the top.
The only reasons to see this film are Ralph Fiennes' suits, which are exquisite. But good tailoring does not make a good movie!
