Confianza, motivación y perseverancia al máximo nivel

Historia de un profesor amante de los retos. A los cuatro años de llegar a un colegio y ganarse el cariño y respeto de todos, decide que ya no puede hacer nada más. Busca el colegio que nadie querría, la clase de los desechos, los que hacen apuestas para ver cuánto dura cada profesor que llega. Su lucha allí no es sólo contra los alumnos. Ha de luchar también contra las familias de éstos, que consideran que no valen para nada, que nada bueno puede salir de ellos. Y también contra la dirección del colegio que, más o menos, opina igual. Recorre un camino largo, duro, oscuro, sin esperanza. Y a pesar de todo, aun flaqueando a veces, no se rinde. Hasta ahora, la referencia cinematográfica para hablar de motivación y liderazgo era Hoosiers, pero ésta no se queda atrás. Tal vez no trate el trabajo en equipo como aquella, pero con respecto a cómo motivar y liderar, cómo promover el cambio, tiene mucho, mucho que decir.

You sure have better films to see

Reading El_Choco's comment, I thought of yesterday, telling about the film to my SO, who did not see it. I said it was a beautiful film, with nice photography, the music did seem nice to me (although yes, I realize now it was the same music once and again) and... well, I managed not to get asleep.

I don't know about historical fidelity. But even if it was good, it is not enough.

I found myself thinking that something is missing in the film. You can not just take some people, put them in nice costumes and locations, even give them a story, and just shout Action! I thought of the voices, the interpretation in general. As said, you did not care much about the characters; they are not believable.

Fortunately I saw a trailer and realized I should not go to the theater to see this film. I went to the Filmo and, at least, did not expend the full usual ticket.

Pi (1998)

Better look for another film

Let's start about the plot: some ideas about Pi, the golden rule, and some other things put together. Some good guys, some bad guys. But no real plot. Having understood this is a bad film, you just want to take something for the ticket. But you can not laugh at the film, you cannot even sleep; it's uncomfortable.
