This is the third time that Daniel Muñoz is involved in a football related movie, being the first Football Stories (1997) and the second Azul y Blanco (2004).
At one scene, young Alexis (Marco Baeza) tells his friends that when he grows up, "I'd like to score more goals than Salas", speaking of the top scorer of the Chilean national football team, Marcelo Salas. In fact, during the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia, Alexis Sanchez scored against Germany and became the new Chilean top scorer, beating the 12-years-long record of Marcelo Salas.
Atom and Humber, Alexis Sanchez' dogs, are played in the film by Leon and Zeus, two trained Golden Retriever.
