Slash would perform his own, live original score to the film in the '80's.
Nash the Slash spent well over 100 hours practicing his 1975 live score for the film Un Chien Andalou. He purchased an 8mm copy of the film and a projector, and would practice playing to the film before his debut at The Original 99 Cent Roxy Theatre in Toronto in March, 1975.
While recording the album Children of the Night in England, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour offered to lay down a guitar track, but Nash famously dismissed him by saying "No guitars!"
Nash the Slash was rumoured to have flown to England in 1973 in the hopes of getting an audition for Roxy Music after Brian Eno left the group.
