Typical Hollywood

This is my favorite show. I just wish Hollywood would stick to entertaining and not preaching!!! Or at least accurately portray both "sides."

Levelling the playing field
james-huggett12 October 2019
Was this the best episode? No. Did it trigger loads of people? Yes. The moment I saw the rating was way below the average score I knew it would be a load of bigots who can't accept other people's choices. In another 2000 years time I hope the piece of fiction people pin their hats on teaches them that Snape had the greatest love of all.

Fantastic Episode
vuhefyf17 July 2021
Anyone in these reviews who didn't like the episode because it was 'too political', it means it was talking about you. Did a great job tackling an issue in the world, as this show has done time and time again. Love it.

Swat starting to get really political lately
cubguy-1668722 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Look I like swat. I'm still probably gonna keep watching despite rating this episode 1/10. I've noticed all season subtle political agendas and I brushed them off because I still like the show and the characters. But tonight's episode was just too far ridiculous. It's starting to get really old with this narrative that all Republicans are racist and homophobic white people that are committing hate crimes left and right or bullying people of the LGBTQ community. They really framed that Storm guy running the podcast tonight like this is a genuine thing that happens in America with hate and showed the red hats that was a clear shot at Trump supporters. The irony in all of this is that Jussie Smollett was caught faking a hate crime for being black and gay and was arrested officially today AND on top of it just a day or two ago Trump and his administration announced a fight to end the criminalization of homosexuality in other countries. It's starting to get old that Trump supporters are these super intolerant, immoral people. I'd rather politics not be pushed in my entertainment. I have to see enough of it as it is because everybody in the mainstream has a hate for Trump and has to talk about his tweets everyday. I just want decent storytelling and good action sequences with swat. But I guess we'll see what happens. I heard SWAT's ratings have been down almost 20% this season and I'm guessing it's because of all the politics here or there. When you put that into your show you divide people. I'll still watch the season out because I'm too invested in the characters but tonight's episode is a new low for me.

Could be a great show
JodyKibler23 February 2019
As someone in law enforcement this show could be a great show for everyone, but like this episode shows it's an attempt to demonize half of this country with a made up false narrative. It's a matter of time before S.W.A.T. will tackle the best way to head towards socialism.

Mind your business.
soraiagomes-643305 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
People can love who they want too and you don't have to say nothing, because it's their life not yours so mind your damn business. Love is love and you don't see us (lgbtq+ community) treat you badly because you have a wife/husband and because we know how descrimination feels, we treat all with kindness. This episode is great! Chris performance was awesome and I get her side of the history, after all she's a police and a member of the lgbtq+ community. She was great and I absolutely love the episode.

One of the best episodes
rogerbigvoice23 August 2019
This episode was one of the most inspired. Great story and true to life characters, unfortunately too close to today's reality. I recommend it over any other episodes.

LGBT Episode
wrenleung19 April 2022
I identify as LGBT and this has got to be the worst episode of the season. The other reviews here says it all. Furthermore, poor Deac is constantly battling health scares in the family (him, his wife, his daughter). And Street's mother is out of control. She wasn't even in this episode (only mentioned) and she still drove me crazy. My point is, they aren't making the show entertaining. The only good thing to come out of this show is, surprisingly, Hick's character development. He's becoming one of my favorite characters.

At long last
rfndayitabi13 December 2019
Finally an episode that illustrates the real threat on hand, right-wing terrorism. The plot is realistic enough to stand scrutiny. It doesn't require too much suspension of incredulity to enjoy it! Normally this show tend to speak bout left-wing radicals with a completely flawed narrative. The emancipators are an example of that flawed and unrealistic narrative: no leftist has ever attacked innocent civilians but always people who were part of the command structure (terrorism sure but of another kind) . The Right wing, Jewish, Christians, Muslims, Hindus or pure nazi-fascist are the one who practice mass shootings, bombings and the killing of innocents.

Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?
thegodlessmonk24 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So, in the real world it's devout believers in the youngest abrahamic religion driving trucks into people in France, Germany and Spain.

But on television it's of course these evil conservatives. And all is well in the filter bubble.

Good episode
jfmcneely6830 June 2023
A show about Cops is going to be political. I guess people who have bigoted views hate to be shown for what they are, thus all the review bombing. Tha fact is many, many white consevat8ves act this way towards LGBTQ andinoritirs, but they would tell you its not showing the truth. Well it is the truth if there not outright committing violence they either talk about it or say nothing and think thst means they are ok. If you focus on the view politically, then you're not reviewing it, you're just being political in your comment. Leave the reviewing up to an objective mind and stop crying about why your bigoted views ate not making you the hero.

The right wing radio host literally gets made out to be the worst human ever, he's just speaking his mind, but when people in "Lgbt" speak their mjnd everyone loves it.

Worst episode of the entire franchise.

Disappointed with the SWAT producers for mandating this left biased episode and demonising anyone who has Conservative views. A hard 1 star!

Alot of pandering
Allsaints11211 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't mind the beginning where the guy ran over the other guys just wish it was shot differently as it just seemed so unrealistic and then the fact that of course one of the characters kids is gay and they have the generic oh I didn't accept you but now I do after this episode or something thing similar. Terrible episode with some incredible pandering before it was the episode about women and how chris was constantly complaining about men and how she was over looked because she's a woman and how this other woman needs to join swat and if she doesn't it's because shes a woman ahhh it's so dumb. It seems they're trying to hit a quota for generic scenarios. This show hits you with some great episodes then they throw in episodes like this that just drag it down to the point where you're watching just waiting for it to end so you can forget this episode exists.
