Great documentary
Emerenciano25 June 2020
The movies shows the story of a very traditional British amateur football team which inspired the naming of Corinthians Paulista, two-time world champions (2000 and 2012).

The documentary also follows the preparation for the friendly match between the clubs in Sao Paulo. The event highlights the passion for the sport and how much the fans of each club love their teams.

Must See! Uplifting and Fascinating Soccer Documentary
rossboyask-117 January 2022
I'll start off by saying that I have virtually no interest in soccer at all, but I found the historical story behind this documentary completely compelling, and as we follow the small, plucky UK team on what turns out to be the adventure of a lifetime, I became more and more involved. Genuinely a must-see.

An Emotional Journey
olivia-9405517 March 2022
An outstanding tale full of emotion, finding roots, and honouring the English cultural heritage of fair play, sportsmanship and sporting expansionism. A story of honour, dignity and valour, with one eye kept on the glorious past, and one on an insecure future for Corinthian Casuals.

Sport can be the bond that brings people together, as demonstrated by the overwhelming Latin enthusiasm meshing with the quieter reserved nature of the Brits; all within the brotherhood of Football . Thank goodness the 'Corinthian spirit lives on!

Wonderful Story whether you like football or not
GrandoFernando31 May 2021
Mesmerising factual documentary about an English club that in the current day, have fallen on hard times like so many other amateur clubs. The difference is that this club were the true grandfather's of football and the added history of their origin and whole reason for coming together is beyond amazing, not to mention the talent that they had, some of their players were not only battering the best teams in Europe, a few of them were also the best cricketers, boxers and rugby players in the world at the same time! This is the true story of how the ultra successful Corinthians Brazilian premiership club that shares the same name of the amateur English club, sought to find their roots of origination alongside the whole reason that football came about in Brazil. The fact that most of the fantastic footballers that represented the English original team of the early 20th century legends, had to cancel a trip to Brazil due to the break out of WW1, when too many of those incredible men, so so tragically, never made it back to their families let alone football. A wonderful representation how football can mean so much to so many across so many divides over hundreds of years and thousands of miles, wonderfully reflected, especially when emotionally showing true Brazilian fans travelling to watch an amateur game in England, just to watch or to be at the club that created their whole history. Then on their own anniversary and opening of their new state of the art stadium, the Brazilian professional world club champions super club winners put a vote to their millions of fans, as to who they should play in the first game at their new stadium and they chose the English amateur club that bears their name ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona by a country mile. Incredible, sad, reflective and truly wonderful story that needed to be told and never forgotten. I am currently watching this for at least the 30th time, the feel good factor is addictive, absolutely amazing documentary.
