You feel the twist from the first scenes. But you admire the impecable construction of film, you collect the clues and hope than the apparences are more than apparences and the venerable teacher is what seems be . In some measure, indeed, he is that. But the fascinating acting of Basil Hoffman remains the main gift from the film makers. Because the portrait of respected teacher, precious , honorable pillar of community is crafted scene by scene, nuance by one, in smart, inspired, nuanced and precise way.
