This film captivated my imagination from beginning to end with its clever use of flashbacks and unfinished stories that yearn to find their resolution. It will move you to tears at times because there is so much pain unresolved, just as there is in life, no matter one's circumstances. A story of a black minister wrestling with God, grief, faith, wickedness, deceit, it is still anyone's story who has felt cheated, lied to, left to fend for themselves when nothing makes sense anymore. The acting is heartfelt, the casting excellent, the music and setting a somber match to the story's portrayal of isolation, regret, and ultimately a vague sense of hope that there is a future worth claiming.
