- Over the course of the film, it is revealed that the Burnish are being experimented on and used as fuel for a warp drive, and some are killed in the process. There is a brief scene of this experimentation as well. The implications of mass genocide are never fully shown or revealed and are not graphic, but this plot element might disturb some sensitive viewers.
