Could be really good
judywalker23 December 2023
I started watching this after I saw a preview. It looked really interesting, and the first few episodes of Season 1 were interesting. But as the season progressed the stories have become less interesting to frankly boring.

I the show is about the relationship between Gabi and Sir but the show is called found, so the people they need to find should be interesting too. So far, they've been less than interesting.

The acting is top notch especially the two actresses that play Gabi and the actor who plays Sir. Margaret, Zeke and Dhan are also interesting characters. Lacey should be an interesting character, but she isn't, and Mark Trent is kind unnecessary and boring.

I hope the stories get better because I would like to see the conflict between Sir and Gabi continue to grow. It would be nice if the people their looking for get more depth to their stories.

guilty pleasure
huntingharps11 January 2024
It's a pretty ridiculous show, and probably isn't realistic at all. But it's incredibly entertaining and has a good message. There's plot twists, mysteries, and honestly some episodes have me on the edge of my seat. It's a pretty simple episode structure, but the character backstories and traumas make the show for sure. But at its core, it is a found family feel-good show that is about working through trauma and mental health. Margaret's storyline is maybe the saddest, and it's the most believable and best acted. And Gabi's relationship with Sir is just so compelling, it really makes the show. Who knew Zack Morris would make such a convincing kidnapper?

Regardless, this is a show I tune in every week for. It has literally everything.

Good but far fetched
muse-4872025 October 2023
I actually like this series so far. It's entertaining. However it is extremely far fetched. Do I watch other shows that are far fetched - sure. But generally they are science fiction. The back story and ongoing plot is the main character was kidnapped as a child, escaped and is now holding her captor captive. This is what makes the story a bit unbelievable. A seemingly upstanding citizen who works closely with the police and media is keeping a hostage in the basement of her home. Another character who sits in the bus station where her son went missing every night for 15 years. I don't see how this could last longer than one season. Beyond that if you suspend belief a bit it's not the worst thing on tv.

Great show
traychel26 October 2023
Please don't listen to the negative reviews. The show is actually really good. Plus it has great potential to get better. Yeah it follows the same format as most shows like this but it's a different storyline. I like the characters especially Kelli Williams character. You can't help but feel for her. I like the actors as well so I don't get the negative comments about the acting. So far I've seen four episodes of this great show and I'm really enjoying it. I never listen to bad reviews because we all have different taste and you just might like it too. Check it out yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

High Hopes
vharris-039824 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was looking forward to the debut of this new show, I hope it lasts. There are a lot of dynamic relationships that can be explored in addition to solving the cases.

The challenge with this show is going to be creating dramatic, dynamic never been done before, abduction. Everything has been done, many times over, so I hope they are going to dig deep with the abducting, solving, and finding.

My problem with Found is not the show, but it was the marketing strategy. They should have omitted the basement scene in the ads. I would have loved to have been surprised at the ending to see her kidnapper chained in her basement.

A different take on the usual
bdobson16 October 2023
Yes, there is an awful lot about Found which is unoriginal and directly taken from other shows or movies. One in particular which I cannot say as it would be a spoiler. However, it's the members of the team and their complex backgrounds which drew me in. These are terribly damaged people who have very clear motivations for being in the line of work they are.

Again, yes, it has some issues with some of the team and their super powers, so to speak, but again I like the characters and the actors enough here to more than overlook it. To those who think it's preachy I am a little puzzled by that. Preachy in the fact that a white girl going missing gets 100x more publicity than a girl of any other color? Reality hurts sometimes but don't call yourself out by calling this preachy.

I'm curious as to, given the true nature of what's going on, revealed at the end of the first episode how they can keep this going long term but I will be interested to watch.

Get rid of the lead actress that can't act!
Bingleyfan4 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
While I like the premise of the show and the twist with who's in the basement, the lead actress not only can't act she's extremely unlikeable! She has no empathy for anyone but herself. Instead of being a strong woman she is just rude, dismissive and treats everyone around her like crap!

The cop,who apparently they had a fling together before they have zero chemistry with and she treats him so awful yet he follows her around like a puppy dog. Why does he like her?!

Mark Paul Gosselar is by far the best of the show but why isn't anyone wondering why he hasn't aged a day in over twenty years while the lead actress has?!!

Please get rid of her and the show will be so much better!!!

Getting worse
pcrain-6933018 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched every episode and thought the show had potential however the main character Gaby keeps getting crazier and crazier. The primal screaming, the over the top situation with Sir and locking him in the basement is just annoying. What I believe is supposed to be Gaby's passion is coming thru as obsession, ego, and insanity. The idea of saving all these lost souls is great but all the characters have so many problems; the one is unable to leave his house, another has an obsession with sitting at a train station every night where her son went missing, thinking he or his captor is somehow going to show up all these years later and she's going to get the boy back, Lacy's continued paranoia about Sir, etc. The anxiety the majority of the characters have make watching difficult.

FINALLY!
MichelleAngeliqueStein20 September 2023
The cast definitely has really good actors, I just happen to adore Shanola and I have zero doubt this show will be GREAT for this subject matter to be able to take up some space on television.

Many have been stolen and they and their loved ones could use all the light shown on them as possible. We live in a time when people try to take away the ability to do practically anything you can imagine, all because of bad element in society. I'm referring to the sharks with all the loot who treat human beings like they're expendable. That is going to change.

THANK YOU to the entire cast! The people who have had to wait all these decades to have a show that highlights these tragedies will no doubt be touched that someone finally had the decency to go there in a tv show. Make as many episodes as you can and appeal to the people in every way possible to get them hooked. It can inspire people to keep their eyes open more for themselves and to be able to spot shady and dangerous types, period.

Potential but...
ram697311 November 2023
The lead actress is the low point of this show. I don't care whatsoever about her character and I should. The young lady who plays her in flashbacks is more compelling. Having said that, I think the show is good and the rest of the cast does a great job pulling you into their story. I don't know how long this show will last but I am invested in their stories. I really like seeing Mark Paul in this role. Creepy. Doesn't think he's the bad guy. Well done. I'm sorry but they need a better actress to play the lead or kill her off and let someone else take it. She's too Vivica A Fox and that's not a compliment.

Poorly Conceived
simonwoodwrites15 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show has an interesting premise but it has a lot of issues that let it down. The show has sorted of doomed itself with the hero, Gabi, having someone held captive in her basement. That scenario can't last long term. With a premise like that it would've worked better as a limited series.

There is a likability problem with this show. Gabi's behavior is very in keeping with someone with PTSD, but it doesn't make her likeable. Her moral arrogance that she is the only one who can make difference and no one else can is irritating. She treats everyone like garbage. Only her crusade counts. Her character needs a lot of humanizing.

I think there is a story issue and that's with Gabi's crew of damaged yet talented coworkers. The coworkers can read other characters in 10-seconds flat yet they haven't picked up on Gabi holding someone captive in her basement. Selective character abilities.

One weird observation...Gabi brings her own lectern to the press conferences outside the police dept. It's a shame we never see her load it in the back of car afterwards. :-)

Overall, it's a decent concept but it's poorly executed.

Shanola is slayinggg✨✨
arlowolfhoward4 November 2023
I loved Shanola Hampton on shameless, so when i saw her posting about this show on Instagram i wanted to check it out. Started watching tn, and binged all the available episodes so far. I love it! It keeps my attention which is really difficult for me with some shows. But from the start this one really grabs you. The plot twist is not at all obvious, and really had me surprised (mouth hanging open and all😂) the first episode. Cant wait to see where the rest of the season goes and hopefully it gets renewed, because i think it has a lot of potential to be a good reoccurring series. I love Law and Order SVU and this kinda reminds me of this. So now it's my new lil comfort show!

Good enough to keep me watching
lavenderblue3722 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's not the greatest show you will see, it's definitely implausible in some ways, but, it's also interesting in a way that makes you keep coming back.

If you like "Lie to Me" you will appreciate this show ( for the actress who used to star in it and similar premise).

The acting is decent + though the show would benefit from a far stronger lead), the storylines are interesting enough but I do tend to pick the bad guy 7/10 times.

The main Antagonist fascinates me in a Hannibal lector way, but the premise for how he is kept captive etc seems a little unrealistic and I really hope that I am wrong in thinking there's a Stockholm syndrome type relationship building between him and Gabbi.

Either way it a decent enough show to watch if you don't know what to watch one night.

Unlikable Characters
davidjbourne-2632022 November 2023
I liked the concept for the show, a firm that looks for lost people that the Police Department isn't prioritizing. The firm is high tech and clearly expensive, however there are references to a wealthy family bankrolling the firm. Interesting idea that all the members of the firm have been kidnapped or has someone missing in their lives. Lots of potential, but it's poorly written. I am unfamiliar with most of the actors in the show, so I don't know their ability, but the script is just over the top dumb. The lead of this crisis management firm, that focuses on finding missing people in the first 48 hours, has time to have extensive and elaborate hairstyle changes between scenes. She also goes everywhere in 4-inch heels (shoes, boots, etc). Not 4-inch platforms, but shoes or boots with a 4-inch Stelluto heels. Seeing her attempt to show urgency in a warehouse search while wearing 4-inch heels or searching the forest of Virgina in 4-inch heels detracts from plausibility. All the other characters have too many issues introduced too early in the series, frankly none of them seem stable enough to performing work that requires high-functioning individuals. There is a twist (no spoilers) in the lead characters life that I would like to learn/see more but I cant handle the 'glam' factor. If they glammed it down, made the lead less annoying, it could be fixed. However, right now I give it a mid-season cancellation prediction. Footnote, for the flash back scenes, find someone REMOTELY similar in appearance to the lead character.

One of the worst tv series ever!
sarabiamaryann20 October 2023
I thought the promos looked interesting! However, it was so absurd, I could barely make it through 2 episodes! The whole premise is ridiculous, the acting is atrocious & the plot is way beyond belief! You made a big mistake with this one NBC! Ugh! The lead actress is over the top with her tough broad persona which is actually laughable! The rest of the cast isn't much better! The lead actress keeps this bad guy prisoner and he's supposed to be helping her in her quest to find missing people! Why would he help her? Makes absolutely no sense! My 10 year old granddaughter could write a more plausible script!

A really good show.
jimaquil25 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is a really good show. The cast is very good and believable. I hope this show sticks because I look forward to it every week. The only criticism I have of the show is the actress who plays young Gabi doesn't look much like Gabi. She's a good young actress but, they should have found someone who looks more like Gabi. That being said, it doesn't take away from how good the show is. The flashbacks Gabi has are so good and informative about how she became who she is as an adult. Margaret is also so good and I like that she has abilities. The cast's have a believable passion to find missing people.

So satisfying to watch
FckVwls25 October 2023
Fun show that hits all the right buttons - strong beautiful black woman taking her life back and helping others to escape their abductors. Who doesn't love a show that empowers former victims to become heroes?

Our hero has an ace team and they're out there saving "the ones no one is looking for." It's not perfect - some things don't make a ton of sense, and the acting is just good enough to keep it rolling.... But it's fun (and satisfying) to watch and promises to get better over time.

Replaces Criminal Minds in some ways for me - adding in social justice concepts that we're all hungry for. The side plots / relationships among the team members are compelling, and lots of eye candy doesn't hurt.

Enjoyable counter to missing without a trace
mda-wilson2 November 2023
This series is a modern style counter to the brilliant classic show missing without a trace.

The lead actress is wonderful here. Real and believable, tragic background and a zealous commitment. She's batman. Overall it's cute and kitschy. They have to include elements of trauma,The show is on citytv so struggle to see why so many reviews are negative. This is not Scorsese. Anyhow excited to see more. Only watched the first 4 episodes so far. But it's promising with hinted overall season plot being suitably big. It is a light watch, no heavy contemplative viewing attention required. Decent pacing episodic feel good content.

A mess!
sanalraj23 January 2024
#Found had the potential to be an engaging police procedural but got tangled up in political correctness instead of a gripping plot. Despite a somewhat bland storyline, the supporting characters shine brighter than the main character, Gabi, who appears less compelling despite a troubled past. The show struggles with character development, cramming too much information too soon into each episode.

While emphasizing Gabi's brilliance, the show falls short on evidence of that since she heavily depends on others. Moreover, although centered around a team rescuing kidnapped victims, it sometimes seems to focus more on depicting white people as villains, portraying the majority of wrongdoers as white. This choice sends a questionable message, overshadowing the show's original purpose.

Absolutely love it!
cricketrodriguez8 November 2023
I was absolutely hooked in the first 15 minutes and anxiously awaited every minute after it! I love the premise of the show, as it feels like several of my favorites wrapped into one (Lie to Me, Scandal, Leverage) and I LOVE Shanola Hampton. She does a fantastic job of leading the cast and bouncing off the different actors. I didn't even recognize MPG at first!

I think there's a lot of representation that is missed in a lot of shows without it being "over the top" to be inclusive. All of the characters feel genuine and fully fleshed out without being stereotypes or caricatures. Each character has their own story and I can't wait to learn each one!

Gets better as the show goes on
forcryinoutloud16 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I can't take seriously anyone that bases a review on one episode & bails. There are VERY few shows that are fantastic right out of the gate. Found certainly has its hiccups, as most shows do, but it gets better as the season goes on.

Disagree with the reviews ragging on the cast. I found all of them fit their roles perfectly. Mark Paul-Gosselaar is great as the show's antagonist & I really enjoy Karan Oberoi's character, Dhan (hoping to see more of his backstory fleshed out in season two).

My only real complaint is with Kelli Williams character, Margaret. While, no doubt, losing a child makes a horrible impact on any parent whose child was abducted, giving her character a backstory where she abandons her other child, so that she can obsessively sit in the bus station every.single.night for the YEARS since her son was abducted is just asking me to suspend my disbelief a little too far. Really hoping season two moves her character away from that.

Looking forward to see where they go in season 2.

Oh my
ndaylilez16 October 2023
It took us exactly one episode to know definitively that I was never watching another episode of this truly awful show. The lead actress is annoyingly fervent and evokes not one iota of empathy. This show left me literally scratching my head in wonder as to who writes this tripe and even more amazement as to who bankrolls it. It's really sad how awful most of the new shows are. This one is so NOT a breath of fresh air and my recommendation to all is not to waste your time on this latest addition to the prime time network menu. Instead of paying the writers of this total tripe, they should be paying the audience to waste their time watching it.

Show has potential.
smileyprice-4600624 January 2024
I'm bingwatching!!

However, cringwatching with the subliminal stuff.

I'Im on season 1 (1) episode five (5).

This show has potential to be really good without the liberal undertones.

Leave the Trump bashing 2020 slurs out and stick to the story at hand please.

That, the back story and the characters please. That's why we watch dramas.

Please stop inserting politics into relax time for the American public.

That being said, this show has my attention.

This show has a great cast, great characters, great storyline.

It also has a creepy Silence of the Lambs nostalgia and twisted potential to be a great thriller.

Bad writing and a bit preachy
andrewlloyd3110 October 2023
Ugh. I was really looking forward to this show because of the clever premise (no spoilers here!). Unfortunately, it came across as a poorly acted after school special insistent on "educating" us dullard viewers on the alleged injustices of the criminal justice system when it comes to the investigation of missing persons cases. I could have dealt with the preachiness of the show if it didn't also rely on the tired trope of all the main cast being "damaged people" who have "been where you are" regarding all of life's injustices. What happened to the concept of "show, don't tell" when it comes to character development? I will give it another episode, but it better improve greatly.
