Phil McGraw, host and executive producer of Dr. Phil, has signed a new deal with CBS Television Distribution to continue the show through 2023.
The extension adds three years onto McGraw’s current deal and will take the daytime talk show through its 21st season. With Dr. Phil, which has been the highest-rated daytime talk show for the past seven years, and three syndicated daytime programs he is producing for CBS TV Distribution, veteran talk show The Doctors, sophomore newsmagazine DailymailTV and new talker Face the Truth, McGraw has been the highest-paid star in daytime. I hear that McGraw, who also owns his shows, is making around $80 milliton a year from his daytime programs.
Currently in its 17th season, Dr. Phil took the mantle of highest-rated daytime talk show from The Oprah Winfrey Show where McGraw first made his mark before headlining his own talker.

Dr. Phil McGraw has set a multiyear deal renewal of his deal with CBS to host the top-rated “Dr. Phil” daytime talk show through the 2022-23 season.
The pact adds three years to McGraw’s existing deal with CBS Television Distribution. His previous contract had been set to expire at the end of the 2019-20 season. At present “Dr. Phil” is in its 17th year, with the new deal extending him through season 21.
A former regular on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” McGraw has built a TV and merchandising empire by dishing out a folksy brand of tough love and plain-spoken life advice to wayward teenagers, philandering spouses and the like. The show has ranked as the most-watched series in total viewers in daytime for the past seven years, averaging about 3.8 million viewers a week this season.

Paul Franklin is set to retire as president of CBS Television Distribution after two and a half years in the post.
CBS is expected to reorganize its content distribution arm to put oversight of domestic syndication under international sales chief Armando Nunez, who is now president and CEO of CBS Studios International. CBS declined to elaborate.
Franklin joined CBS in July 2016 after a 28-year run with 20th Century Fox’s Twentieth Television arm.
“I tried to retire once before, but failed,” Franklin said. “I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work at CBS and lead the top syndicator in the business. CBS has been a highlight of my career, and I am proud to have kept us on top. I’ve worked in this industry I love for more than three decades, but now it feels like the right time to retire and finally have time to spend with my family,...

She's keeping it real! Finding love isn't easy and Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kim DePaola knows that all too well. While appearing on Vivica A. Fox’s new talk show Face The Truth on Oct. 11, Kim opened up about how difficult it is to meet Mr. Right. “Cobwebs may be growing” her friend Emma said, after it was revealed that it's been quite some time since Kim’s been with a man. Furthermore, the only things she's cuddling with at night are her dogs. Emma thinks she's being too shallow to find her perfect match, because her standards are apparently way too high. The reality star, 57, is hoping to find a guy with money who sends a "car service" for her. Emma said there was one man she dated years ago that worshipped her, but he was a bit chubby, so a romance didn't blossom. "He was a little possessive,...
