Funny supernatural style show
paul-yorks25 January 2020
Not sure why this show is only rating at below average. I've enjoyed the first episode so far.Similar style like Supernatural, lost girl,Charmed Ect. Shows like these normaly take a full season to find their feet and hope this gets the chance to be renewed as there's so few decent comedy/thriller/horror type shows left with so many now ending and this shows promise

I like the script, hate the acting. Could have been a good show though... Get better every episode, but not that much better..

Interesting start...

A fairly good start, enough to keep me interested, but felt it could have gone more to set up the monster hunter theme. Fairly good acting from the cast, the main characters have good chemistry. Just enough info to keep you involved yet confused.

Warning: Spoilers
3 stars. 1 for production, 1 for humour and 1 for ...just because.

Some monster hunters, a 90yr old man with his 50yr old wife and teen children go to a family funeral and stuff happens.

Now I'm sure the cast are all talented and have a plethora of good works under their belt but, OH. MY. CRAP. They are all boring and miscast in whatever this episode was trying to be.

Considering this is the "hook" episode to draw in an audience, it was shockingly boring and force-fed some political agendas down our throats, I guess because it's 2020 and "all white people are bad" blah blah.

It's a shame really because it has potential, I just hope that forcing myself to sit through the rest of the season will pay off because this was a terribly shoddy start.

I swear the dad does look at least 90.

Warning: Spoilers
That's how long before the question "When are they going to ram a homosexual character down our throats?" is answered. Better than some shows, but still. So predictable, anymore. (Is there a code?)

My interest was already dropping through the slow-moving plot, the swearing, the drugs, the sneering hatred, the anachronistic racism. But with that, there were no boxes left checked to hold my interest. I've stuck with enough series hoping for some redemptive switch, and regretted it. Not this time.

So stunning

Warning: Spoilers
Okay we got a biracial couple, maybe it's not foreshadowing of things to come, just an average family who happen to have a black mom and white dad....Literally the first person they interact with pulls the "we don't like your kind around here" with the mom as if that's something that happens outside the fevered dreams of a leftist revolutionary. Then the second person they talk to, the mother manages to establish her victim status once again. I look forward to the demise of NetFlix and seeing these activist hack writers making my coffee at Starbucks like they should be.
