Jen takes a jazz class to get back into her first love before getting married: dancing. In real life, Christina Applegate has had a successful career on Broadway, including her staring role in Sweet Charity. While performing, Christina broke her foot, almost ending the production prematurely. To finish out the run of the show, she had to wear special shoes, and to this day she can only dance with limited movement and for short periods.
Featured prop product placement, Jen and Judy are seen outside at Jen's hot tub drinking the fictional "J Darby 15yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky" made by Independent Studio Services.
The opening and closing song is "Sing, Sing, Sing" by The Benny Goodman Orchestra.
