Will have you scratching your head..

This a a compilation of four 30 minute seperate episodes that tries hard to be like Black Mirror or the Twilight Zone bit fails to hit the mark. The stories start out promising but fail to connect at the end leaving the viewer scratching their heads, trying to figure out the plot. Save your time & watch something else. It's a 5 for me....

A few good ideas but mostly average.

Episode 1 had an interesting twist, was kinda fun to watch. For the rest, mostly the scenes and the acting dragged and couldn't save them from the average plots. Found myself anxious for them to just get over. Good thing the episodes are very short.

Film school quality

Warning: Spoilers
I would give a higher rating if I could have understood what was going on particularly episode two. Also agreed with another review the blonde girl did blink when dead. And the big bag of money that said specimen over each note. Was that meant to be or was it just poor props. I dunno.

Warning: Spoilers
The stories start out interesting then have no ending and just seem to stop in the middle or have a stupid ending. Waste of my time.

Interesting But Horribly Shot

The conceit of shooting a television series by using a cell phone camera sinks Silent Eye. Too bad, because the story is interesting. This is rather like a modern era Ed Wood undertaking. The producers should have not been so damn cheap.

The cinematography, even with limited equipment the shots were very un imaginative and kept me questioning the way it was shot rather than the story.

i would recommend this series!!!!

I liked Black Mirror, Maniac, Better Than Us on Netflix and I liked this short film series Silent Eye on Amazon. Like art, films for me are about creativity and while it's shot with a phone on a small budget, I found the series to be more interesting than 80% of the stuff I pay more to watch streaming high budget movies. It's like strolling through someone else's mind. They make you imagine your own conclusions and I like that. I think given the resources Netflix films have, this filmmaker would be in demand. It's a small fee for a fun imaginative watch.

Great bite-sized dramas with a twist
annfinnemore23 September 2019
A great series of short futuristic/scifi dramas. Like all good short stories, they are quirky, have good plot and end with a twist. Reminiscent of Black Mirror in the way each story takes a current trend to its dystopian end. I also enjoyed both the length and the self-contained nature of each episode, a refreshing contrast to multi-part series aimed to encourage binge watching. At the moment there are only four episodes - I'll definitely keep an eye out for the next ones.
