Telling little known stories

Most warriors in history might have been men - but there were also women, and more of them than one would have thought. I really enjoyed this carefully researched series, using archeological evidence and dramatised scenes to tell the stories of some of these warrior women. For example, where might the legends of the Amazons have come from? And did you know there were real female warriors that the Dora Milaje in Marvel's Black Panther were based on? (If you want to know more about them, btw, there's also a documentary with Lupita Nyongo.)

Also, although it says here on imdb that there are 3 episodes, I found a fourth one about Vikings - and since the opening credits show images of what seem to be Japanese warriors, I'm wondering if the series is still ongoing. I definitely hope so!

Obviously fiction.

Amazons are a mythological story. Are the Brits interested in real history at all?

The series started in 2015 with Samurai Warrior Queens, then in 2018 there are the three known chapters about Amazons, African Agooji and Gladiatrix, and then a last chapter about Vikings, in 2020.
