- Samuel is tasked by Mr Field to find out the names of those attending the Shaw's latest party. After the party, Mr Field and Denning are unhappy with Samuel's lack of detail. Samuel leaves the meeting, not wanting their business if it means being blackmailed. Courtney breaks it to Samuel that the company is close to bankruptcy. They must acquire more orders in the next few weeks. Knowing he needs the MI5 order, Samuel goes back to Mr Field's office and is tasked by him to photograph all the guests at the Shaw's upcoming fishing trip. Clutching at straws, Kathleen visits Sacha's school to see if she can glean any clues about her son Anthony's disappearance. Samuel and Miriam receive an anonymous letter, explaining that Hannah did not meet the Queen, and has been skipping many of the parties and balls. When they confront her, Hannah runs to stay with Esther. Once there, two of Esther's friends Joel and Kevin, arrive with a gramophone. Kevin and Esther are evidently an item. Samuel and Courtney meet Denning, Mr Field, and Freddie Lawson at the airfield and agree to set up the staff locator demonstration. Samuel delivers his photos from the fishing trip.
- Samuel reluctantly attends another Shaw party but finds recording the guest names rather hard, so tells Mr. Field he won't do that again, let alone take photographs, just to win locator orders, fearing there will always be new virtual demands. Yet finding his factory near bankruptcy, he must change his mind to avoid dismissing staff. Sasha does well at boarding school and promises visitor Mrs. Shaw to help look for her missing adult son Anthony, but she has more luck hounding for last contact coordinates from his former friend Paul Ledbury, found at a grand cake party where Hannah, who misses Nicholas going on Italian inspirational trip, asked her along as chaperon, returning to the circuit after having spent one night 'ran away' to an employee Esther's libertine home with party buddies Kevin and Joel. Afterward lord Arthur Wallington tells him to check for himself that Field isn't MI5 but heads an elaborate Soviet spy web, and he believes to spot indications.—KGF Vissers
