Good principle but lacking richness
mahendrent31 March 2019
The ideas and concepts are exceptional but the graphics, worlds and even characters lack richness.

Such a cute show from makers of Creative Galaxy and Daniel Tiger
benny-5262329 March 2019
Such a cute and fun show for preschoolers! Obviously from the same team that made Craetive Galaxy, Daniel Tiger, etc. You'd have to be an idiot to not know 9Story/Out of the Blue.

Sure, far to be original. But certenly sweet, charming, seductive , easy and predictabile adventures and provocative for difficult moments. Forms and colors. Short, just charming.

My 6 month old daughter loves it...but look closer
jamescarveth-9127618 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler Alert* First of all let me start by stating my 6 month old daughter LOVES this show. She will watch it repeatedly daily, however after prolonged exposure I have become concerned about the hidden messages. Charlie is adorable, but his friends treat him like DIRT! Literally from the very first episode where Violet and Red show up at his house uninvited an Violet STEALS his pancake assuming it is for her, followed by just about EVERY character showing up and him having to make a machine to fill all the orders, of which his friends take them ALL...even queueing multiple times before Charlie has even had one. A "friend" then breaks his machine and runs off, leaving Charlie sad and so hungry his stomach growls. Octo-bocto hardly ever says bye to him. Miss Weather makes him do HER job for the day, then adds a PUZZLE to solve in order to get to the button to call for help if he struggles! In one episode he becomes big (giant size) which could be viewed as a disability as he struggles to control his size and breaks the playground equipment, his friends the use HIM as a swing an slide set...his ACTUAL body?! If he was in a wheelchair they would probably use him as a go-cart! Its cute, its colorful, it makes my daughter giggle and smile, but ooooh those friends need sorting out!

Better than it gets credit for
candkkentie13 November 2019
There are a few reviews that say the animation is poor quality or the substance is lacking. I actually think that this is one show that hits the exact mark it is shooting for. The concept uses a very stark environment with the mixing of 3D animation with 2d elements and the quality of animation is good. Characters seamlessly interact with the environment and there is movement to their interactions with the world and elements around them. My kids love this one and are excited for season 2

So great that i signed up just to write a review

I dont like registering or signing up to sites as that means leaving data foot prints about a person but hey parenthood changes a lot of things you were pretty adamant on back then. So yes, my review. My 17 month old absolutely LOVES this. As soon as she sees the Charlie icon her face lights up and her expression is just of utter joy. Now as a parent, I would do everything in my power to make sure that expression of pure delight and excitement stays on my child's face even if it means leaving digital footprints because thats what parents do. To be honest, the dialogue is pretty good. You won't have the urge to bash your head on the wall if its the 50th time you've seen episode 1. There isn't an annoying sidekick or character with nasty attitudes. Theres no protagonist or antagonist. Its just charlie meandering through life. So please, carry on making charlie. Spread the word.

I really hope more seasons are coming because my son has watched this season so many times I know the words. He smiles from ear to ear when he hears Charlie talking. He used to love Mickey but this show has taken over our living room.

Great for little ones!

My son loves this show so much! I love the fact that it's mostly 2D and that there are no characters that have bad traits kids could that learn from. My son loves watching this and giggles when he sees Charlie's face. It's the only show he watches, so I'm glad it's a show that I don't mind watching time and time again!

My kid LOVES this show!
cwbrh6 October 2019
My baby girl started watching this when she was only 3 months old. She instantly turns her face to the tv as soon as she hears Charlie's voice. We've tried to have her watch other shows but I think it's the black background with bright colors that gets her attention. That and the way the characters talk to the viewers. It is very engaging even for a now 8 month old.

I do hope that there will be more seasons of this show. My husband and I enjoy it immensely. It's nice to have an educational show with very positive and friendly messages for children to learn from. It brings back memories from when we were kids, and is making new memories for our little girl.

Please make more seasons!

My Daughter Loves This
frostedfairytale16 July 2019
My almost 3 month old loves everything about this show even the theme song, she starts wiggling every time it comes on. She coos and "talks" all through the show. I think this will be a great show for her as she continues to grow.

One of my son favorites!
kyleenlynnee8 June 2021
My son LOVES Charlie. From dancing to the theme song to laughing with the characters this show pulls him in. I love that it's a sweet and simple show all about imagination. The colors, easy to recognize shapes and the adventure is fun. As a parent some kid shows can be rather annoying but even I enjoy watching Charlie's adventures. We really hope more seasons come!

My boy loves this show! 😊

Please keep making more! Lol. This is my baby's favourite show and he loves Charlie so much. When Charlie's face gets a close up my baby laughs and smiles all the time. The storyline isn't bad either. I'm an adult and they are interesting. (Even when we've replayed the episodes a million times. Hahaha)

Great message - Use your imagination to create wonderful things! Just like Charlie.
rannynm5 February 2021
From the series we all know and love comes Charlie's Colorforms City: Meet Charlie. I was entertained and delighted with this spectacular DVD. Follow along with me, so I can show you how this story provides color and brightness in a time like this when we are surrounded by gray darkness.

Charlie's Colorforms City: Meet Charlie is an eight episode DVD. The episodes consist of Charlie the Pancake Chef, Rock Star Charlie, Racer Charlie, Adventurer Charlie, Starry Charlie, Birthday Charlie, Knight Charlie and Charlie's Pet. Each episode tells a fun and uplifting story about our the character, Charlie, trying new things. From adventuring to the other end of the rainbow, to eating a pancake, Charlie's stories make us smile and laugh along with him. Watch to see how Charlie and his friends use their imaginations to create their own worlds from stories.

When I watched Charlie's Colorform City: Meet Charlie, something I noticed right away was how wonderful this show can be for kids who are still learning about shapes and colors. This show teaches them about those things in a fun way, where they can use their imaginations. The show encourages creativity in a way that is different from other kids' shows. Charlie creates a city out of his imagination and the possibilities are endless. Kids should be learning from a young age that imagination is the key to following your dreams. Charlie's Colorforms City demonstrates that by making wonderful stories and taking you on his adventures. Another thing I like is the design of the show's animation. The bold colors and easy shapes of buildings such make it appeal to the target audience. For example, Charlie's whole neighborhood is filled with light blues, purples and greens. Young children will be drawn into this fabulous world of neon colors and hexagons.

The message of this show is to use your imagination to create wonderful things. Kids love to imagine things and when Charlie creates Colorforms City, he shows the audience how to put your mind to something and make it happen. .

I give Charlie's Colorform City: Meet Charlie 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 11. Reviewed by Allison B, KIDS FIRST!

The ONLY thing my daughter will watch
heatherrenemua6 December 2019
This is absolutely the only thing my daughter will watch. All day every day Charlie is on. If it's not on, she cries until we put it on. If we leave the house, the tablet streaming Netflix has to come with us. It's insaine how much she loves this show. I've never seen a kid so obsessed with any show and refuses to watch anything else, as she is with Charlie. She is now 14 months and has been watching since she was 6 months old. I pray for a second season. Please!!! <3

Son LOVES this show (MORE SEASONS!)
chkj-1537011 January 2020
My son started watching this show at 3 months and for the longest he wouldn't watch any other show. Every time Charlie comes on the tv he stops what he is doing and starts watching with a HUGE smile on his face! He is now 9 months and I would love to see another season (probably more for my sake). He has watched every episode at-least 100 times now and still gets excited. Love that this show is full of colors and kid friendly! Hoping for more seasons! 🤞🏼

Amazing Show for Under 1s
spoonseventyseven20 February 2020
My daughter started watching this show from 4 months old. Now, at one year old, it's the ONLY show she'll watch attentively. Nothing makes her happier! The flat animations, bright colours and dark backgrounds seem to work wonders for young eyes. The first time she watched it, she was able to see and respond to Charlies smile with a smile or coo of her own. She's easily watched each episode hundreds of times... I know them all word for word now. We need a season 2 soon please, for my sanity more than anything else!
