NBC has picked up two more Universal Television-produced drama pilots to series, sprawling ensemble The Village, written/executive produced by Mike Daniels, and The Enemy Within, starring Jennifer Carpenter and Morris Chestnut, from Gotham executive producer Ken Woodruff, NBC executive-turned-producer Vernon Sanders.
The Village, from Universal TV and 6107 Productions, revolves around the residents of an apartment building in Brooklyn. The pilot has been an early front-runner, drawing parallels to NBC’s acclaimed drama This Is Us. Its cast includes87-year-old The Sopranos alum Dominic Chianese who is believed to be the oldest series regular on a network show.
In The Village, the people who reside the building have built a bonded family of friends and neighbors. Sarah’s a nurse and single mom raising a creative teen; Gabe’s a young law student who got a much older and unexpected roommate; Ava must secure the future of her young,...

Let’s for one moment forget about gameplay, lets take out of the equation graphics… In fact lets just forget about everything that has come before this episode of Telltales Batman: The Enemy Within and talk about the season finale story. We’ll cover the rest later!
For me personally this installment of Batman: The Enemy Within is one of the most intensely written and dramatic portrayed episodes of not only a Telltale game but pretty much any game ever. It’s up there with the best issues in Batman comic book history and actually feels like it could live and breathe on the big screen. There is a bit of everything from chaos, danger, romance, betrayal, fear and friendship.
Am I over-egging this review? Possibly, but when I say this episode of the game had me hooked from title card to end credits, well trust me I am not lying.

I’m on record being lukewarm towards the majority of Telltale’s second stab at Dark Knight drama. Prior to Episode 4: What Ails You, the season didn’t seem to have anything up its sleeve besides unresolved tension and one or two canon inversions per episode. I even stated that despite the brisk, satisfying action of What Ails You, it wouldn’t be able to redeem the entire season. But that assertion was made with the expectation that the season finale would merely stay the course at best or drop back down to mediocrity at worst. Instead, Batman: The Enemy Within – Episode 5: Same Stitch became the best part of the season, and the best single chapter in Telltale’s catalogue in over a year.
Most importantly, Same Stitch doesn’t just ride the momentum of its predecessor; it pushes it farther than ever. Compared to the slow boil...
