  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Fourteen dead so far, including a Treasury Department officer, a U.S. District Attorney, and three CIA operatives.

  Will Keaton : What time were the attacks?

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : 8:00 a.m. All three.

• Will Keaton : Mikhail Vassily Tal, 49 years old, former Russian SVR agent, and one of the greatest threats to America today. In 2015, he carried out the bombing of Flight 6175 in Boston. 21 people were ripped apart when the bomb was detonated while the plane was at its gate. Had that plane been airborne, the death toll would've risen to include every single one of the 283 passengers aboard that flight. That's what most of you know about the attack. What most of you don't know is that the bombing of Flight 6175 was a trial run for twenty more bombings just like it. Thousands of American lives were saved by the intel that was gathered by the CIA. But months later, Tal retaliated, using Erica Shepherd to find and kill the four operatives who stopped the bombings.

  Elizabeth Cordova : You're certain Tal was behind this?

  Will Keaton : There is not a doubt in my mind.

  Elizabeth Cordova : The attacks three years ago were retaliatory.

  Will Keaton : Danyal?

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : The victims killed this morning were part of a CIA-led task force targeting Mikhail Tal's finances.

  Will Keaton : Tal is out there. He's well-funded and he's planning an attack on American lives as we speak.

  Will Keaton : Bregman wanted to bring her in because he thinks she can help catch Tal.

  Kate Ryan : And you went along with it?

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : You sure, Will? 'Cause it kind of looks like we just gave the worst traitor in the last fifty years a visitor's badge.

  Will Keaton : Either we work with Shepherd, or Bregman's gonna assign the case to someone that will.

  Will Keaton : But what, Kate?

  Kate Ryan : What about Laine?

  Will Keaton : The man that killed Laine is still out there. If I have to work with the devil to catch Tal, I will.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Witnesses report seeing two men riding motorcycles, but no license plate numbers or descriptions of the drivers.

  Will Keaton : Video?

  Kate Ryan : There's no security cameras on the country roads, but I'm searching other sources.

  Will Keaton : What about the bombing in New York? What do we know?

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Not a lot. Forensics are still working on the cause of the explosion.

  Will Keaton : Tell me we have something on the Union Station hit.

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : Well, Metro PD's still processing the scene. I mean, it could be tomorrow morning until we get anything useful.

  Will Keaton : Okay, it's been sixteen hours and we have nothing.

  Erica Shepherd : That's because you're dealing with Mikhail Tal. He knows how your investigation works and he knows how to beat it. That's why he's still out there. To find him, you have to start pulling on threads that you never thought to before.

• FBI Agent Daniel Zain : You're here because you were caught on camera ripping the cell phone of a Treasury official. An official who was killed in an office explosion yesterday. So you have a problem. Look, I'm trying to help you fix your problem, but the only way I can is if you start telling me the truth.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Okay.

  Ines Nguyen : [he takes his jacket and makes to leave]  I was contacted by a man named Victor Nemec.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : What did Nemec want from you?

  Ines Nguyen : He paid me four grand to rip this guy Sebring's cell.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Where's Nemec now?

  Ines Nguyen : I don't know. I have the phone number he gave me. That's... that's it.

  Ines Nguyen : No, never.

  Erica Shepherd : [watching the surveillance camera outside]  She's lying.

  Will Keaton : What?

  Erica Shepherd : She's lying about... something.

• FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Here's who we're looking for: Victor Nemec. 43 years old. Wanted by seven different countries for espionage and political assassination. We checked his last known address, came up empty, same with known associates. Let's concentrate on his cell.

  Will Keaton : Kate, now where are you on that trace?

  Kate Ryan : Nemec's cell pinged off of a tower near the bombing site 36 hours ago, but nothing since then.

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : 78 minutes after the attack, somebody texted Nemec a photo from a blocked number.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : The Seine River in Paris?

  Will Keaton : That building right there. What is that?

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : Yeah, we looked into it. It's a children's hospital.

  Will Keaton : Well, why is Nemec being sent a map of a children's hospital in Paris?

  Erica Shepherd : He's not.

• Erica Shepherd : It's called a location cutout. It's been decades since they were used. They were common spycraft for the Soviet nations during the Cold War. Correspondence was constantly intercepted back then. So operatives couldn't risk sending a map of their actual location. So they would send a section of a map from a different city that looked like theirs. A cutout. Most cities have similar features, right? Roads, bridges, parks. In this case...

  Will Keaton : An island. Nemec was last seen in Brooklyn. Kate, pull it.

  Kate Ryan : Already on it.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : The Governors Island is closest to Brooklyn. Try that one.

  Will Keaton : [no match]  No. What else is nearby?

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : Roosevelt.

  Will Keaton : Pull that up.

  [the two look similar] 

  Will Keaton : Overlayer.

  [the two maps match] 

  Will Keaton : That building that's pinned on the Roosevelt map. What is that?

  Kate Ryan : It's an apartment building.

  Will Keaton : We got Nemec. Danyal, call the New York office. Get 'em on that building ASAP. How long for the plane?

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : If we leave now, we can be wheels up in twenty minutes.

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : [indicating Erica]  Whoa, whoa. What about Hannibal Lecter?

• FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Bragg, are you hit? Are you hit?

  FBI Agent Jason Bragg : I think it caught the vest. Daniel, get his gun.

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Let me see.

  [feeling for a wound] 

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : No blood. You're good, you're good. Let's get you out of here.

• FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Just scanned the laptop we found. Someone made multiple searches for Logan Airport, Pier 19 Terminal, and North Station. I think Nemec is headed to Boston.

• Will Keaton : Daniel, I just got a call from Bregman. He has intel that Tal may have planted IEDs here. So eyes open, okay?

  FBI Agent Daniel Zain : Copy that.

• FBI Agent Daniel Zain : I got a silver car a hundred yards ahead!

  Will Keaton : It's Nemec.

  [they give chase, but Daniel crashes his car avoiding an IED]
