“SmackDown” on Fox will remain live, TheWrap has learned exclusively — so WWE can hang on to all of its “SmackDown Live” marketing and signage. You know, unless they’d like to change the blue show to green or make some font tweaks ahead of next year’s big move from NBCUniversal cable to Fox broadcast.
As TheWrap previously exclusively reported, Vince McMahon’s professional wrestling organization’s “SmackDown” is headed to Fox’s broadcast network in fall 2019 after USA Network’s current rights expire. The five-year, expected billion-dollar deal will see Fox Sports shift the program back to Fridays from its current Tuesdays time slot.
