As JoBlo.com was founded in 1998, we missed the opportunity to chronicle the reactions to 1995’s Batman Forever. But time works in funny ways, as just last week a rare screening of the nearly three-hour Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever took place – and yes, the reactions are in, with most agreeing it is easily the better version of the movie, which doesn’t exactly have the best reputation…
After teasing he had a copy of the Batman Forever Schumacher Cut last month, he followed through on delivering it to Batfans all over – well, in New Jersey at least – hosting a screening at his home state Smodcastle Cinemas.
According to those that caught the Schumacher Cut, Batman Forever is now a “different experience” altogether. A few examples of the changes include now opening with a sequence involving Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) at Arkham Asylum, offering more of Riddler going insane and featuring...

First reactions to The Flash are quickly racing onto social media. Select members of the press and guests of CinemaCon experienced DC’s latest superhero epic earlier this evening, with the movie garnering some of the most positive reactions I’ve ever seen. Speaking with JoBlo’s Chris Bumbray after the screening, he described the film as “fantastic.” Others in my socials and DMs are screaming, telling me I’m in for the “ride of my life” when the movie hits theaters on June 16, 2023. I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous at all.
While combing Twitter for reactions to the Scarlet Speedster’s latest adventure, I’ve gathered many comments and observations about the Andy Muschietti-directed odyssey into the Dcu.
Just out of #TheFlash at CinemaCon. Believe the hype folks – truly one of the great superhero movies. Ezra Miller (x2), Sasha Calle and Michael Keaton. It’s pretty...

Black Widow is out, bringing the women-led spy genre to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film follows Natasha Romanov in the time between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War as she works to bring down the Red Room, aka the Soviet-affiliated program that took her as a baby and brainwashed her into becoming an assassin. While the women-centric spy drama may be new for the MCU, it’s has been one of the most prolific and entertaining action sub-genres over the past few decades. If you’ve watched Black Widow and you’re looking for more taut and emotional spy thrillers to check out, we have some TV and film suggestions for you…
Hanna
Many have seen the 2011 action feature directed by Joe Wright and starring Saoirse Ronan as a girl assassin raised in the wilderness by her spy father Eric Bana, but the TV series based on the film is even better.

In the Before Time, a pandemic and a global shutdown ago, the Batman comics were hurtling towards a huge anniversary issue with a new creative team and a hot new character sending back issue prices through the roof. Punchline was introduced in a cameo in James Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez’s Batman #89, and the issue immediately flew off the shelves. Then she showed up in Hell Arisen #3 from Tynion and Steve Epting, and that issue also sold like hotcakes. So without knowing much about the character besides a terrific design from Jimenez, Joker’s new second in command is already moving books. But when you learn more about who she is, you start to get an idea of just how important she may be to the comics and to the world.
