When Hailey Bieber Was Seemingly Least Interested About Meeting Justin Bieber When Being Introduced By Stephen Baldwin. (Photo Credit – IMDb/Instagram)
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Bieber are all set to embrace parenthood soon, hopefully strengthening their relationship. The couple is a hot topic of discussion online, more so because of Justin’s former relationship with Selena Gomez. Hailey faces a lot of criticism and trolling on the internet. Even today, an old video of her being introduced to Justin by her famous father, Stephen Balwin, resurfaced.
For the unversed, Justin and Hailey tied the knot in 2018, and a few days ago, they announced the good news about welcoming their first child. Justin gained recognition as a teenager with his song Baby, and over the years, he only solidified his place in the music industry. Meanwhile, Hailey has also become an influencer on social media, besides her successful modeling career.

As speculation swirls among Wall Street investors of potential M&a activity in the entertainment industry, NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell said Comcast is always keeping an eye out for “bolt-on acquisitions” that bolster its business.
“We bought DreamWorks [Animation]…and it has been paying off steadily since our acquisition. Just now, with ‘Puss In Boots: [The Last Wish],’ which is a big hit at the box office and really our entrance back into the Shrek universe, continues to make that acquisition look really favorable,” Shell noted on the media giant’s fourth-quarter earnings call Thursday. “And we’ve invested in our Blumhouse investment over time, where we’re partners with Jason Blum, and we have a big hit, ‘M3GAN,’ this month, which is coming out of that investment. So we are always looking at bolt-on acquisitions that don’t necessarily involve big industry consolidation questions.”

“Zola” (Lionsgate) is the first film based on a viral Twitter thread (and probably won’t be the last), but it’s compelling viewing for reasons that have nothing to do with its provenance. Taylour Paige (“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”) stars as A’Ziah “Zola” King, a waitress and sometimes stripper whose epic road trip to Florida hits one bump after another. It really is about the company you keep, and Zola is hanging out with a trouble-making dancer (Riley Keough), her hapless boyfriend (Nicholas Braun), and her enigmatic “manager” (Colman Domingo), and the twists are unpredictable, off-putting, and darkly hilarious in Janicza Bravo’s comedy.
Also available: Altered Innocence, one of the best-curated boutique labels around, delivers festival fave “A Dim Valley,” which asks the question, “What if a film about a cabin in the woods was a comedic meditation on love and not a horror movie?...

LeBron James loves his Beats. Whether it’s walking to the arena before a big game, or posting his intense workout videos on Instagram, the Lakers star is always wearing the brand. And he’s not the only athlete or celebrity to endorse athletic headphones. Connor McGregor had his own line. Serena Williams often sports Beats, too.
It’s no surprise that celebrities are all in on the athletic headphone game — there are tons of great options out there. In recent years, running headphones have only improved. Whether it be noise-cancellation technology, or specifically engineered sweatproof ability, it’s easier than ever ...

Hello again, everyone! We only have a few titles on the docket for this week’s home media releases, but there’s still some fun stuff to keep an eye out for, especially if you're a fan of classic genre films. Mondo Macabro is keeping busy with several Blu-ray releases, including Panic Beats, Blood Ceremony, and Queens of Evil, Code Red is showing some love to an often overlooked ’80s slasher—The Forest—and Bless the Child is getting re-released on DVD for the first time in decades, too. Also being released on March 9th is Rent-a-Pal from Scream Factory.
Blood Ceremony
In 19th century Europe, the people are in the grip of ancient superstitions and the fear of vampires runs riot through the land. Strange rituals are enacted to seek out the resting places of the undead and macabre trials are held over disinterred corpses. The Countess barely notices what is going on.

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) announced the television nominations for the 2020 DGA Awards on Monday, honoring “Ted Lasso,” “WandaVision,” and “The Queen’s Gambit” as examples of some of the finest directorial work that the medium has to offer.
Both Comedy and Drama categories saw complete turnover in nominees from 2019, with none of the series honored last year airing episodes during the window of eligibility in 2020. Therefore the celebration is guaranteed to get an injection of fresh blood, a welcome development with any awards body.
Curiously, the wide open field allowed for some surprising series to garner their first ever DGA nominations, including AMC’s “Better Call Saul” and Disney+’s “The Mandalorian.”
Also announced today were the DGA Award nominations for Documentary, including nods for “Boys State” and “The Truffle Hunters.”

Under the pact, Tillman, Jr. and Robert Teitel will develop new projects for the studio, working with State Street’s Jay Marcus who has been promoted to Head of Film & Television and will spearhead day-to-day efforts related to the deal.
The first-look agreement expands director-producer Tillman Jr.’s relationship with Sony Pictures TV, the studio behind ABC’s series For Life. Tillman directed and executive produced the pilot for the praised legal and family drama about an imprisoned man who becomes a lawyer, litigating cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit.

One of the best films of 2020 — and the last one I’ll get to see in a theater for who knows how long — Kelly Reichardt’s “First Cow” (Lionsgate) sees the director once again turning to the American frontier to tell a story about America now. John Magaro and Orion Lee play two men in pioneer-era Oregon who go into business selling fried-dough “oilycakes” to homesick miners, but find themselves in the crosshairs of the plutocrat who owns the territory’s only source of fresh milk. It’s gorgeous, elegaic, witty, and powerful — and you’ll crave some funnel cakes.
Also available: Director James Sweeney, who also wrote and starred, makes an impressive feature debut with “Straight Up” (Strand Releasing), about a gay man whose lack of relationship success drives him to give women one last shot; two siblings try to fulfill their grandmother’s dying wish in...

Live television is electric. Even when it’s bad, like your average episode of Saturday Night Live or Viceland’s mostly disastrous foray into live TV, Vice Live, there’s still something compelling about the chaotic, anything-can-happen energy. The spirit of a performance teetering slightly off the rails is part of what’s made live streaming platforms like Twitch so interesting and popular; there’s a little bit of danger baked into even the most innocuous feed.
Iheartcomix and Beats by Dr. Dre appear to be courting a bit of this danger by teaming with Twitch for a new global live stream series, Released! Hosted by Zack Fox. Rapper/comedian Fox was the lone bright spot of the before-mentioned Vice Live and teaming him with director Kitao Sakurai for an “an interactive live performance narrative adventure” described as “in the being of Blues Clues, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Mystery Science Theatre 3000,...

Every generation has that moment right before they’re forced to grow up and everything goes to shit — before society herds them into the adult lives they never wanted, but had to accept in lieu of a better stable. For the former ravers and ruffians of mid-’90s Scotland, whose already fading dreams were squelched out completely by a government decree that criminalized public music characterized “by the emission of a succession of repetitive beats,” that last gasp of disobedience has now been re-crystallized in all its raging glory.

Sometimes a film will play at a festival and almost immediately get a theatrical or digital release. However, what often happens is that an indie film plays a variety of festivals and it takes a little while for it to land distribution. That’s the case for the new film, “Beats,” but as can be seen in the new trailer, the film is well worth the wait.
“Beats” tells the story of a couple of friends that come together due to their mutual love of electronic music and their inherent rebellious attitudes.
