In the previous seasons, it is stated that CO McCullough's first name is Artesian. However, the name on her uniform now says "B. McCullough." Emily Tarver later confirmed on Twitter that "Artesian" is her middle name.
It is a Jewish tradition to divide the Torah (the first five books of the Bible) into roughly equal weekly portions to be read at approximately the same time each year. It is also traditional for a Bat or Bar Mitzvah child to read and discuss the Torah portion that falls closest to her or his birthday. That means that a girl's Bat Mitzvah Torah portion is a good determiner of the time of year in which her birthday occurs. The portion that Nicky read and explicated is "Balak" (Numbers 22:2 to 25:9); it is traditionally read during the Jewish-calendar month of Tammuz, which usually corresponds to the end of June or the start of July.
